Today's Thought

I wish my car's windshield had SPF protection so I wouldn't have to worry about my hands prematurely aging while driving on a sunny day.

The funny thing is- I actually wear sunscreen on my hands everyday!
With my job I am in the sun A LOT so I wear the AVEENO lotion that has SPF in it on my arms and hands becaus I am so freaked out by old hands. I guess my years working at a retirement home was more tramatic then I thought ;)

Oonafey August 20, 2009 12:34 PM: I think about that all the time. Not just my hands, though. I get more sun driving to and from work than I do the whole rest of the day.
E @ Oh! Apostrophe August 20, 2009 1:27 PM: Your windshield does have UV protection! The side windows do not, but windshield glass blocks UV light. That's why those transition glasses that change color in the sun (in UV light) don't darken in the car.

Amber August 20, 2009 5:57 PM: I apply sunscreen liberally to my hands AND feet! I can't tell you how many sunburned feet and flip-flop tan lines it took for me to realize that the sun hits everywhere! I wish parasols would come back in style...

G+D August 21, 2009 6:14 PM: @sen & E--I'm so happy to hear that there is some protection! This should cut down my worrying enough to at least save me from a few forehead wrinkles!

@LizzieBeth--I've been thinking about trying out that Aveeno hand lotion w/spf. I've looked and it seems to be the only kind I can find with spf.

@Martinis--Now that sounds a bit extreme, lol! And yet also a bit Audrey Hepburn-ish. Hmm...I have to may consider this...

@Amber--You should totally bring parasols back. That would be fun!

@Allison--That's what I love about the internet--there's always someone out there who can relate!
