Seasonal Centerpiece

I've been enjoying this colorful centerpiece on my dining room table all summer--and it's perfect for fall which is right around the corner! The vase was a gift from my mother-in-law, the orange embroidered runner is from Pottery Barn ($6 on clearance!) and the flowers are from our front yard. Simple and cheerful!

I can't wait to get my fall decor out! I'm trying to hold off until the end of the month.

Fabulous! I have that runner in green and I cannot wait to put it back out on September 22nd - but I didn't get it for $6. Is this in your kitchen or dining room?

Love it! And it's perfect because just a few changes and you can use it year round.

Thanks for your comments everyone!

@blondie--Fall decor is the best. I don't do much of it myself (too lazy) but I absolutely love seeing people go all out for fall!

@Em--I remember seeing your runner in green and loving it! This is in my dining room. I put it out b/c I wanted a long low centerpiece for a dinner party, and loved it so much that it stayed.

@Martinis--Ooh, I'm jealous of your yellow rug!

@Anonymous--Your comment made me almost spit out my Cinnamon Toast Crunch, LOL! Although I snapped this pic when I first put this runner out, I promise you it was quickly wrinkle-free--but not from ironing. I just spritzed it with a water bottle and gave it a few good snaps. That did the trick. I should have taken a new picture afterwards knowing one of my fellow OCD readers would notice that. Total rookie mistake!

this is totally unrelated, but I just notice... only 2 miles till you hit your goal! Go on girl!

That runner is stunning! I'm so jealous-- I can never find anything affordable at Pottery Barn!

i love that i'm not the only one thinking, "D wouldn't put the runner out unironed!" and i love that i just learned that you don't always need an iron to get the wrinkles out!

more importantly, you're only 2 miles from your running goal! wow!

i found your blog a while ago and remembered some of the things about it that inspired me, but couldn't remember the name. today i found you via young house love through simply dwell's retaining wall entry and then blog about stripey walls...i love blog rabbit trails!

i would LOVE to know where the vase is from. maybe your mother in law let it slip? i saw one in a florist's shop once and fell in love...but the hefty price tag sent me home alone!

thanks! GREAT blog! i'll be back!

@Jennifer--Thanks for the comment; I'm glad you found me again! I'm not sure where the vase is from, but I will email my mother-in-law to find out. I'll post a comment back here once I know!
