...when unexplained stains have suddenly taken over all your clothes.

And your furniture.

Oh yes, you'll quickly wonder why do they even make white clothes (especially for kids). And what's up with white bibs?

Ah, the things you forget (now that my daughter is 11).

Pics, pics, pics, pics.............I wanna see the ones where she is sleeping on G's chest and there's always different clothes on them because it keeps happening!!!

But so worth it!

Just wait... you're not fully initiated until the baby spits up - either breastmilk or formula (whatever you're going for) IN YOUR MOUTH. Trust me. Do not be lying on the couch and lift her up over your head to make funny faces. You'll regret it.

Oh - they can be explained... you just don't always want to know.

and your hair........at least mine since it's long!
But don't worry, like PP said you will soon not even notice the stains (or the smell)

Wait until you start going to work with them ;)

Okay, of course this could mean you are leaking too??!! I HIGHLY recomment Lily Padz silicon re-usable pads. Worked like a charm for me.

I breast feed my twins for a year and worked full time. Could NOT have managed with out my Madela pump and style Advance back pack model. Heck, I got so good I could pump and drive commute home from work at the same time!

You know, that is just too cute. My babies are big now, but last night as I held a baby and demanded that mom and dad eat their cake and ice cream while their baby puked down my arm...I couldn't help but feel nostalgic.
Enjoy the little one!

You know what they say...spit happens

And your former super clean self doesn't even care that they are there anymore, huh?

Welcome to mamahood!

Thanks for your comments everyone!

@Andrea--Thanks for the recommendation. I'll check those out!

@Ezza--The other day I was leaning over her basinette and she projectile spit up/vomitted/sneezed straight up and into my face. I decided I earned my "Mom Card" that day, lol.

@Beth--Yep, you're exactly right! :D When Kate's laying down and I hear her gurgle like there's some spit-up in there that she hasn't quite worked out I'll pick her up, put her on my shoulder and say, "Go ahead and get it out baby girl. Mommy doesn't care if you spit up all over her shoulder. It's okay." :giggle
