Junior Size Me
It's probably a safe bet that you should no longer shop in the juniors department when it's been more than a decade since you could even consider yourself a junior in college.
I realize this.
But when they put the juniors department right next to the shoe department sometimes things accidentally catch my eye. Like this plaid shirt, which was too cute to resist! Especially considering it had all my post-baby clothing requirements:
It was baggy.
A quick and painful trip to the fitting room later, and the size large was coming home with me. Uh, what happened to my vanity sizing juniors department?? Not cool.
Cardigan: Gap Outlet

I like it! We've had a few chilly mornings the past couple days so I've been hitting up my collection of button up sweaters. Although I'm sporting a bump these days and it's pretty hard to hide it :)
Love the top - empire waistlines are our friend! :)
I have been trying to find a cute plaid shirt everywhere! Does this store have a website?!
I love that top and like you, I too have found myself wondering in the juniors department looking for cute items. It's kind of like when you find yourself in Forever 21. You know that you can find something in there that is cute and while it's probably cheaply made, at least it's cheap.
Hey, BTW, I don't think you read my blog or have time to read my blog, but I wanted to let you know that after almost 4 years of trying, we're finally PREGNANT! :)
It doesn't look like a junior shirt at all! I love it!!
I like it. Plus it is post baby mommie friendly.
Good job!
Cuuuuute! I love plaid, love it! Too much perhaps :)
Super cute! Plus i love it with the tie on your waist. You look great!
You look great. I occasionally cruise the juniors department too. Sometimes you just can't help it.

awe I think it looks SUPER cute!!!
I love that you're back to your outfit posts. That shirt is great.
Cute shirt, I totally would have bought it, too!
Who cares what department you got it in? It's adorable on you!! I shop juniors too sometimes and I'm 41!!
You are looking great!!
Your secret is safe with me, anyone who reads this post, and the 19 year-old who rang up the sale. Looks cute!

Umm. I have your same shirt in 2 different colors. Perusing the juniors department has been my biggest guilty pleasure since my daughter was born- who know teenagers had such great post-partum clothes?! I blame MTV; with shows like 16 & Pregnant (crap, maybe thats my biggest guilty pleasure?), what are fashion merchandisers to do?
Ooh love that shirt!!
Thanks for your comments everyone!
@Marden--I'm pretty sure it's just www.bostonstore.com, but I don't think they sell anything online. :(
@Jill--Oh my goodness, CONGRATULATIONS! That's INCREDIBLE news! I tried to go to your blog but was unable to. It said your profile is private. I just wanted to let you know how thrilled I am for you!!
@jbhat--Your comment made me lol. For real.
@Brakes and Gas--Uh-oh, I think you're right. Maybe it wasnt' the juniors department at all? Maybe it was the "pre-teen postpartum" department? Eek!
