Weekend Wear

January 29, 2011 By Dusty Rogers 9 Comments

One thing I’ve discovered since toting a toddler around town is that you don’t want to overdress for it.  You can work up quite the sweat!  This was about a 30°F day which made long sleeves and a warm vest the perfect combination for an afternoon of running errands with Kate.

Navy thermal tee:  Gap
Gray & white striped tee:  Gap
Faux fur vest:  Gap Outlet
Scarf:  New York & Company
Jean Leggings:  Gap
Boots:  Bear Paw
Tote:  Coach

I have the same vest and even though it’s years old it’s still on heavy rotation. Glad to see someone else is a vest addict too!

Love the tote. I think I need some handbag therapy.

Hope all is well with you and the fam! Does Madison have any good Octoberfest events? I wanted to do my sister’s bachelorette party at Sundara, but she just informed me she doesn’t want to have her party at a spa (insert annoying voice here). I am trying to find something fallish that does not fit the typical bachelorette party stereotype.

So cute! I’m glad you’re writing fashion posts again: I’ve missed them! You have such a great style, and the Gap is one of my favorite stores!!! Plus the Coach bag is gorgeous :) Have a great weekend!

    Thanks ladies!

@SAB–There’s an Oktoberfest in LaCrosse (my college stomping grounds–woot!) the last weekend in September. The Great Taste of the Midwest happens in Madison the second Saturday in August (it’s awesome–bring your pretzel necklaces or you’ll have to eat off the necks of total strangers like I did: PROOF HERE). It’s a lot of fun! Feel free to email me if you’d like to discuss options further! :)

Looks like you have the standard midwest outfit rockin! All fall/winter I’m in skinny jeans tucked into my uggs. A scarf on top of the vest is definitely a nice touch! You know how to dress for this nasty weather!

Love the outfit! I picked up a pair of faux uggs last week and have worn them almost every day! Definitely a new favorite, especially in light of the constant snow & freezing temperatures!

    P.S. Fab tote, too :)
