My Favorite Winter Skirt

March 14, 2012 By Dusty Rogers 8 Comments

It was almost 70 degrees in Wisconsin yesterday–can you believe that?!

I’m looking forward to spring, but I can’t say goodbye to the snow without sharing my favorite winter skirt.  I bought this skirt at Express over a decade ago and I’m pretty sure I’ll still be wearing it decades from now.  It’s wool, so it keeps me nice and warm on those winter days when I pair it with knee-high boots, but my favorite thing about it is the stripes!  They’re different from every angle–diagonal across the front, thin on one side, thick on the other, and they meet in an upside-down V up the center of the back with a hem that’s slightly longer than the front giving it a little bit of a train/fishtail effect.

Yep.  I love this skirt.

Skirt: Express
Sweater: New York & Company
Boots: Target

Actually, I DO believe it was so warm in WI. I was there for work. 😉 I thought of you when I kept seeing all the anti-union propaganda on tv. (From when you went and joined the protest.) Weird what triggers you to blog friendships.

But ditto to the gotta love that post detox body! Super cute skirt.

Don’t you love it when you find a piece that you keep for years and years? I have a suade skirt I bought from Target 6 years ago, that I still wear every year.

We are getting insanely warm weather here in Philadelphia too! What is going on Mother Nature??

Super cute, elegant but the stripes make it casual enough for everyday!

    Classic piece for sure!
