Organized Linen Closet

May 15, 2008 By Dusty Rogers 6 Comments

So it’s probably time I do a post on organization. And it’s only fitting that my first organization post is about the first thing in this house I organized–our linen closet.

I found these canvas tote bins at Bed Bath & Beyond, and they fit perfectly on the shelves. Each tote on the upper row stores a complete sheet set–fitted sheet, flat sheet, and matching pillowcases–and is labeled accordingly. We have 4 different sized beds in our home so this makes it much easier to keep track of the king-size bedding vs. the queen-size bedding, etc.

The lower row of totes store various toiletries, hand towels, cleaning rags, etc. Some of the baskets are still empty so there’s room to grow.

The top shelf of the closet holds extra bedding and pillowcases. Bath towels on the second shelf, and Aerobed on the floor. The bottom shelf is currently empty, but again–it’s always nice to have room to grow. Especially since we don’t have kids yet.

The folding doors had plain wooden knobs that I wasn’t too crazy about, so I switched them out for some sassy chrome knobs I found at Target. And volia–we have ourselves an organized linen closet!

I need to fly you to Seattle so you can organize my closets! You need your own TV show!
