Parade of Homes

June 12, 2009 By Dusty Rogers 9 Comments

The 2009 Madison area Parade of Homes starts this weekend and I am so excited to check out this year’s eye candy! But first I need to finish up with the 2008 Parade Homes.

This 3,877 square foot, four bedroom home was built by Craftman Construction and is located in the Southbridge Blue Ridge addition in Waunakee, WI.

Art niche in the entryway:

I thought the window treatments for the doors leading to the covered patio were interesting:

Guest bathroom:

Colorful teen room:

And the master bathroom. Which reminds me–I really must do a better job of taking straight pictures this year!

Was this your favorite because of all the orange? Our parade of homes got canceled this year b/c of the housing/new build crisis. So instead, they’re opening up a bunch of houses across the state (it takes 8 hours to drive across the state) and you can buy a ticket and drop in on any of the houses over a month’s time…not sure.

    Thanks C!

@Emily–this house wasn’t my favorite of all of them (that post is still to come!) but I do think I liked it more than I normally would have b/c of all the orange. I’m such a sucker! That’s too bad about your POH. Heck, for an 8 hour drive you may as well tack a few more hours on to that and come to WI to join ME! šŸ˜€

I like the guest bath a lot – very unique. You make me really want to go to our local Parade of Homes.

@Kim–I really liked that guest bathroom too–especially the tile! I thought it was interesting that they did 2 sinks in the guest bathroom. When I was going back through all my pictures at the end of the day I was confused thinking this house had two master bathrooms! But I guess it’s nice for when guests are getting ready for bed at night.
