December 28-January 3
Everything is still looking great at our weekly prenatal appointments, but there’s no sign that this baby is ready make an appearance anytime soon. I’m still feeling great, so I’m in no hurry to serve this little girl her eviction notice…yet.
G and I have been in full-on nesting mode this past week–lots of cleaning and organizing. I’m thinking nesting isn’t as much for preparing to bring your newborn home as it is for preparing for the possibility of having to call your neighbor at any given moment to come to your house to take care of your dog.
One new thing I’ve noticed this week is that by the end of the day I have to make a concerted effort not to waddle when I walk–an effort I just so happen to be vain enough to make. On the plus side, I’ve been sleeping so well this week. I surprisingly managed to sleep through the night three nights without having to get up even once for a bathroom break! I thought my nights of getting 8 straight hours of sleep were long gone, but it looks like I still had a couple more in me!
I’ve been loving the reactions I’m getting to the “When are you due?” question this week. A few months ago when people would ask and I’d reply, “January 4th” they’d say, “Really?? YOU’RE HUGE!!” because they couldn’t believe I had that far to go yet. Luckily I’ve been pretty proud of this big belly so I’d just grin and say, “Thanks!” But this week when people ask, “When are you due?” and I reply with “Monday,” their reactions have been shocked for a completely different reason. “You look incredible! I can’t believe you’re due so soon!”
Ahh, much better!

Ha, that was funny! I also keep my house clean because I’m afraid someone is going to stop by unexpectedly.
Good luck! You are almost there!
I’m very impressed that you are sleeping so well! I am almost 19 weeks, and I can’t sleep through the night without peeing. I’m jealous!
What an exciting week! Can’t wait to see photos of the little angel.
After you have the little one, (and if/when you have time…lol) it would be interesting to know what you packed in your hospital bag and diaper bag and what you used/didn’t use… maybe a check list? It also gives your new coach bag another photo opportunity
Well, if you’re vain then I am too, because I also refused to waddle during my pregnancy!
I’m sooooo excited.
O….I love you and your blog…but I hate you at this moment…8 hours of sleep…you do look damn good…b****!
(Said with utmost love and affection from an overdue prego)
That’s hilarious. It’s amazed me how many people are experts on perfect pregnancy size just by eyeballing it. Amazing! Anyway, here’s to a few more nights of restful sleep before your little darling arrives!
Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!
how exciting! best of luck with everything to come – i know your baby girl will LOVE her nursery from day 1 !!
OMG I can’t believe you are due tomorrow!!!! So exciting! I hope she makes her appearance soon =)
I remember crying every night once I hit 37 weeks. I was induced at 38w exactly with a 9.5lb baby so now I know there was a reason for the crying!
Best of luck hun! Do you have a guest blogger or someone to update us when you have your little girl!?!?
Just wanted to say hi and best wishes, Dusty! So excited to hear about your new little one’s arrival and see all her cute pictures! If you haven’t already, try to do something fun and for you/your hubby today. I remember taking a bubble bath the day before I delivered and I was so glad I did…it was the last time I could actually relax for a long time!!
Thanks everyone!
@blondie–Great idea. I’ll be sure to do that!
@Danielle–Your comment cracked me up, lol! I hope your little baby comes soon!
@Jenni–Oh my goodness, a 9.5lb baby? Holy hell, I’d be crying too! You’re my hero.
@ajscd–Thanks, that’s so sweet of you!
You look GRRR…REAT! tony the tiger wanted to chime in!!
Good luck with your delivery! Can’t wait to see part two of the nursery!
I think that people never know what to say and what comes out of their mouth… they more than likely want to punch themselves for saying it… if they think about it long enough!
I think that you look awesome, as I’ve always said.
You’re in the home stretch now and it seems like it just snuck up on us…
::: punching myself ::::
Thanks girls!
@hopeful–No worries, and NO PUNCHING, lol!
