Kate’s First Christmas

January 4, 2011 By Dusty Rogers 27 Comments

Despite both G and Kate being under the weather, Kate still had a really wonderful first Christmas.  We went to G’s parent’s house on Christmas Eve for their annual family get together, spent the night, and that’s where Kate woke up on her very first Christmas morning!

Who needs Santa when you’ve got Daddy’s wallet!

Back to our house for the rest of Christmas day…

Let’s see what else is under this tree…

Where did you guys get that fun play cube thingy (with all the beads and doors and loops… you know, the doctor’s office toy – that’s what our daughter thinks it is)? So cute! Mine would love that.

Hey! I’m a new reader just de-lurking to say hi. I’m from Minneapolis and I’m expecting my first baby this April. I went back and read an embarrassing amount of your archives and I loved them all. :) Happy almost 1st birthday to Kate!

Kate is just WAY too cute! Your Christmas day pictures are great!

I’ve been reading your site for months…and have read through all your archives…and have (embarrassed to admit) never commented. Today’s the day!

I really enjoy all your Kate posts. My little one is 4 months, but I enjoy reading about your experiences and looking forward to the fun that’s coming.

    Keep sharing!

@Melissa & Megan–Thank you for your first comments! That’s so flattering that you’ve both read through all my archives. HOLY COW! I can only imagine some of things I’ve spewed over the (wine-drenched) years, lol!

Kate is just adorable — I love that hair! My son is 3 months younger than Kate (to the day) and we got him the same toy for Christmas. I can’t wait for him to stand and play with it like she is; but for now he enjoys opening and shutting the frog and zebra doors.

I’ve been reading your blog for a LONG time and I think this is my second comment ever… But, I wanted you to know I enjoy hearing about Kate, your house, all of it. Best wishes to you, G, and Kate. I hope she is feeling a lot better!
