Remember my crazy list of things I was frantically trying to accomplish before G and I left for Seattle a few weeks ago? One of the things that was an absolute must do on that list was sending my fabulous friend Allison a thank you care package for all the work she’s done on my new blog design!
Thank you care package using a scarf instead of tissue paper! |
First I lined the inside of the box with cute blue wrapping paper, filled the box with all sorts of goodies, and wrapped it up using this adorable floral scarf as an alternative to tissue paper. I bought this scarf (also seen here) for myself and loved it so much that I had to go back and get another one for Allison! To finish off the care package I spelled out the words “Thank You” on the box and “Allison” on the card, using raised sticker letters from Target.
It’s a fun and easy way to say thank you to a friend!
Beautiful care package!
I like the stickers; great addition and attention to detail.
She will just love it! (Probably already does.) Using the scarf was pretty darn clever. Kind of like when you wrapped the baby gifts in the blanket.

How could you not mention the amazingess tucked inside? I’m still trying to lose those 5lbs, lol!
I, of course, loved the package — every single piece of it! All the way down to the envelope, I cut out my name and stuck it on my bulletin board at work
You are so creative Dusty. Love this idea!
The inside of Allison’s care package reminds me of Tiffany’s — LOVE that shade of blue.
I love that scarf (and the idea of scarves in general)! Now, if I could just figure out how the heck to wear one… (Future fashion post?!?!)
Thank you everyone!
@jbhat: You have such an impressive memory, wow!
@Allison: Oh I feel your pain, sister. I bought myself a loaf of that Stella’s bread too when I got yours and I’m pretty sure I ate it all (myself) in 1/2 a day. Ugh. It’s so damn good though! So thrilled to hear it made your bulletin board! <3
@Carla B: I’m pretty sure I need a refresher myself. Check out Pinterest! I know I’ve seen some pretty clever scarf pins floating around.
