I’d been hearing about essential oils for more than a year and only recently purchased my Young Living Essential Oils starter kit. Those little colorful bottles can be intimidating! I really do.
But just in case you don’t, I’m not going to leave you hanging.
There are two ways you can enjoy Young Living’s Essential Oils:
- Sign up as a Retail Customer (it’s free!) to shop Young Living and pay retail prices.
- Sign up as a Wholesale Member (which requires the purchase of a starter kit; prices and products included vary) and receive products at a 24% discount.
(Please sign up using my referral links above and I will receive a credit for your purchase at no additional charge to you. Thank you!)
I purchased the Premium Starter Kit from Young Living (one of the starter kit options you’ll see if you sign up as a Wholesale Member) because it’s a great way to buy the most popular everyday oils at a huge discount (and I like discounts). This kit comes with the 11 bottles of essential oils that we’re highlighting in this tour, along with a cold air Home Diffuser, samples of Ningxia, and lots of other goodies. And I have to add – Kate loves the diffuser! It’s a humidifier, air purifier, atomizer, and aromatherapy diffuser all in one, and she’s claimed it for her bedroom (it’s small enough that it easily fits on her nightstand, which I love). I diffuse a couple of drops of Peace & Calming Essential Oil at bedtime and she’s out like a light!
If you sign up to become a Wholesale Member, not only will you get 24% off retail prices, but you’ll also have access to a thriving online community so you can easily access information on how to use your essential oils, and receive incredible support to answer to all your questions. There is ZERO obligation to buy more oils unless, of course, you really want to!

Oh my good googly moogly, Dusty you knocked this one out of the PARK! I love it!! Cannot wait to make those wipes. What an awesome idea!!
Thanks SO much for joining up with us on this blog hop! 😀
Thank you, Beth – so sweet of you to say! Thank you so much for coordinating this fantastic giveaway!
I would love to win the peace and calming essential oil. It’s definitely what I need in my life right about now!
It’s my daughter’s favorite! If she’s cranky and really needs a nap, I also rub a little bit on the bottoms of her feet and it helps get to sleep (instead of laying awake and playing in her bed). Good luck!
Love my oils. Can’t wait to get more! Motivation is on my list to get ☺
One day when you get around to it, right? Hahaha. Kidding! Please let me know what you think when do you get it, Julie – I’d love to hear more about it!
love essential oils! I’m just getting started and this would be a great way to jump in to the EO world!!
Good for you, Andrea – that’s great! Hope you love using oils around your home as much as we do!
I’m just getting into Essential Oils! I’m so interested in the Purification oil! Especially after reading what you said about it in the last post!
Purification is great! I think I mentioned in an early post that I put it on a spot of acne and it was gone in a day. I’ve also recently used it directly on my skin for mosquito bites and it takes the sting and itch right away. I haven’t tried it this way yet, but I’ve learned you can also rub it on the outside of your throat to soothe a sore throat.
I hope I win!! I really want to try the Peace & Calming oil. We have some poor sleepers in our house, and I’ll try anything to get them to sleep better! Really though, I want to try them all…
We love Peace & Calming. In addition to sleep, you can also apply or diffuse it to release tension in yourself or in your home and promote peace and well-being. Many people have reported it helping calm their overactive or hard-to-manage children. It can also be used to reduce depression, anxiety, stress and insomnia – lots of wonderful benefits! If you haven’t already done so, click on the “Peace & Calming” link below my video above to learn more!
I’ve heard only great things about the Thieves oil, so I’d love to try that.
Thieves is another great one for cleaning! You can adjust the recipe of these DIY Disinfectant Wipes to include Thieves if you’d like. Just add 5-6 drops of Lemon and 5-6 drops of Thieves.
I’ve always wanted to try essential oils!!! I’d love to get the lavender!!
I haven’t used our lavender much, but just watched Melissa’s video (link above – click on “Lavender” under my video) and learned a lot. I’ll definitely be putting it to more use now!
I would love to try the lemon essential oil, the video DIY cleaning wipes video make it look so quick and easy!
Thank you so much, Sarah! They really are so simple to do. I’ve posted about them before, but I think SEEING it in the video really helps to realize how simple they are to make. I hope you give them a try! Let me know how you like them if you do!
I would love to try the Panaway on my husbands ankle!
I’ve yet to try PanAway, Brooke, but I’ve heard great things. I’d love to hear what you think once you give it a try!
Yeah I am totally intimidated by all these essential oils, I have no clue what to do with them!
I felt the same way, Diane! If you haven’t already done so, give the videos a watch. They’re a great way to get a quick overview of the most popular essential oils that are available. Please let me know if you have any questions – I’m happy to help!
I’m so intrigued by Essential Oils but I have no idea where to start! I have a feeling either Stress Away or Peace & Calming would be a great place
Great choices, Kelly! I like the Stress Away because it comes with a little roller ball insert. I keep it in my purse and just roll it across the insides of my wrists (like you would perfume) any time I’m feeling stressed or overwhelmed. It’s so handy!
I love my oils! It is difficult to limit myself to only ordering a couple a month.
I’m finding myself having the same problem, Amber!
I imagine the Lemon is the most versatile, but I’m kind of interested to see what the Joy and Thieves oils are like.
Thieves is another favorite of mine, Jane. I just tried Joy for the first time last week (I diffused it in my kitchen) and it’s got a strong floral scent that I wasn’t quite sure about it; very rosy. I was cooking, though, so I think that might have been throwing me off (the mix of all the scents/flavors). I’ll try it again when I’m working or relaxing to see how I like it. I definitely noticed an improvement in my mood, which is great! I was feeling stressed and felt much perkier once I started diffusing Joy. I’ve read that some people who think the smell is too florally have had success mixing Joy with another oil like Peppermint or one of the citrus ones for a bit of a different aroma (while still feeling the benefits of Joy). It’s all personal preference, of course.
Lemon oil
Great choice, Ariana!
I’d love to try the lemon oil just to make those wipes. I go through a ton of the store-bought ones at home!
I’d love for you to give these DIY disinfectant wipes a try, Stephanie! They’re such a breeze to make and so much cheaper (and environmentally friendlier) than store-bought wipes. Let me know what you think if you do!
I’d love to try peppermint
That’s another favorite of mine, Annie. So yummy!
I think I’d like to try lemon!!
It’s so great and versatile, Kirsten! I’d love to hear what you think if you give it a try.
I love the clean, fresh smell of peppermint!
Mmmm…me too, Laura!
Peace and calming or lavender!
Great picks, Crystal!
Just be careful with wiping off stone counter tops. Acidic things like lemon juice(where essential oils are more concentrated) will eat away on the sealer and make your stone susceptible to staining.
Great tip, Jessica! I don’t use these DIY disinfectant wipes on my granite, but they’re great for other surfaces in my house – particularly my bathrooms!
I would love to try the frankincense
I’ve been using Frankincense mixed with whipped oils as a night cream on my face, and I love it! When I prefect the recipe I’ll post it to my blog. I’ve spent a ton of money on face creams over the years, but this DIY alternative is less expensive and so effective. I’ve been getting so many compliments on my complexion lately!
I would love to try the Peach & Calming. Reading about the experience with her daughter makes me want to give it a try with my son!
I love the lemon oil. So yummy in my water!
Love the many uses of the lemon essential oil!
Me too, Erin! I hope you get your hands on some!
I’ve been trying to use more natural cleaning products and would love to try the lemon oil!
Lemon oil is great for all-natural cleaning, Andrea. Thieves is another excellent one, too!
Lemon for cleaning!
My favorite, too!
Lemon!
Great choice!
