Kate and I like to start decorating for Christmas the day after Halloween so we can enjoy those twinkle lights and good cheer a bit longer. This year we wanted to have a little fun in light of the dumpster fire that’s been 2020, so we decided to create a Coronavirus Christmas Tree for our living room.
We still have our traditional family Christmas tree in our dining room with all of our personalized and meaningful ornaments, but we thought it’d be nice to add a second tree to our living room. As we were discussing a decorating theme for the second tree I said, “What if we make it a 2020 theme and use toilet paper for garland?”
Kate loved the idea, so we went with it. Because…2020.
The toilet paper garland looks surprisingly good, and you don’t event notice it’s toilet paper until you’re up close – or you see our toilet paper tree topper, haha.
Some hand sanitizer and tissues round out our kitschy tree:
You’ve got to get your fun where you can these days, friends!
Love it!
Couldn’t resist. 😉 Thank you, Ashley!
That is AWESOME!!!
Haha. Thank you, Beverly!
