Hello Thirty!
So long twenties--hello thirty!
Today is my 30th birthday, and it's pretty much been a month-long celebration! Most recently G took me out for a celebratory birthday dinner, and my girlfriend Jamie and her husband Terry came from out of town to join us. Since I knew I wouldn't wind up sloppy drunk or dancing on a bar top, I decided it was the perfect time to get a little daring with my birthday outfit!
Skirt/Dress: New York & Company
T-strap stilettos: Nine West
Pregnancy: 24 weeks
This mini-dress is actually a skirt pulled up and worn as a dress--a look I had fun with earlier this summer, so I thought I'd try it out again. The fullness of the skirt allowed plenty of room for my baby bump, making it a perfect pregnancy dress! It's also the shortest thing I've ever worn--but hey, if you can't get a little sassy for your 30th birthday, when can you?
My friend Jamie looked fabulous as always, so I decided she needed to get in on the fashion show action. She paired a fitted graphic tee with a sleek pencil skirt--love it!

Skirt: Old Navy
The boys were more interested in watching football than in making a fashion post in my blog, but they both looked pretty fabulous as well. It was a great night out and a great way to ring in my 30th year!

Happy 30th Birthday!!! I hit 30 in July and am still in denial. I started holding at 27 ;) Your 'dress' is creative and sassy hot momma! I have a prairie skirt from Forever 21 that I use to wear as a dress with a leather belt. Thanks for the reminder. ENJOY YOUR DAY!!! :)

I like the skirt as a dress idea, but I think it would look less obvious that it's a skirt if you'd taken pictures with some accessories (I've seen you accessorize before so I know you didn't leave the house "bare") LOL

look at you! all pregnant and running 400 miles and converting skirts into minidresses! freaking amazing. that's how i intend be when i hit 30 in 3 years. and i recently realized that i have the same duvet covers as you for both my master and guest beds (though reversed, and my paisley is pink), so things look promising. keep it up, girl! happy birthday
