Kate & the Dishwasher

March 11, 2011 By Dusty Rogers 9 Comments

Ever since Kate discovered the dishwasher, “helping” G do the dishes has become one of her favorite pastimes.  She could be clear across the house but if she hears the sound of that dishwasher door opening she comes flying into the kitchen as fast as her little legs can take her:  “Wait for me, Daddy!”

Adorable! Our nine-month-old is exactly the same — he hears that dishwasher and crawls as fast as he can for it!

Ha! This morning Amber also raced for the dishwasher. What is it about that thing? Kate is cute, as usual!

That is so funny, Jillian is the exact same way!! She could be anywhere in the house until she hears the dishwasher. Then I hear her crawling like a mad woman into the kitchen. She is a soaking mess sometimes when it’s all said and done.

What is it with kids and dishwashers? My one year old does the same thing. Love coming over to read and love seeing Kate’s lastest do. Her hair cracks me up! (In the best, lovable toddler sweet hair kind of way :) )

Oh yeah, I remember those days when my boys loved to help do anything around the house. If only someone would figure out a way to keep that enthusiasm going into the teenage years!
