All Things Pumpkin

October 12, 2008 By Dusty Rogers 17 Comments

G is fully aware of my love of all things pumpkin-flavored–especially right now as the seasons are changing and the leaves are turning. Mmmm…pumpkin just epitomizes autumn if you ask me. And let’s be honest–beer pairs well with every season. So imagine my joy when G came home with this:

Blue Moon’s Harvest Moon Pumpkin Ale. YUM! How is it possible that I haven’t had pumpkin beer up until this point?? It’s practically my two favorite things combined in one! What’s next? Peanut butter flavored wine?

OMG, where has this beer been all my life?!
If they come out w/ PB flavored wine, I just might pee my pants from excitement.

Wow that does sound intriguing. I’m not a huge pumpkin fan but I do really like this Apricot Ale that I buy. That is lovely.

Love all the other Blue Moon seasonal ales, but haven’t tried the Pumpkin. Gonna head to the liquor store – thanks for the heads-up. Not sure I could jump on board with the peanut butter wine.

I love pumpkin-probably as much as you-but I don’t enjoy pumpkin beer. How did you like it?

    Yummy!! I love pumpkin beer.

Although I have to say that Blue Moon’s is not my fave. If there are any local breweries in your area that make pumpkin beer, you should definitely check them out. There are three local breweries here that have kickass pumpkin brews.

I second the recommendation for Dogfish Head’s Punkin Ale. It’s my very favorite. There’s also one called Ichabod or something like that. Good to try too.
