Another warm fall day, so I couldn’t resist another day of wearing a comfortable, elastic-free, easy bathroom-access dress. I would typically wear tights with this outfit, but I don’t have any maternity tights, and regular non-maternity tights look just terrible on me right now. (The top cuts into my belly which is not pretty. Or comfortable.) Luckily it was warm enough that I could get away with going bare-legged–although I have to admit I felt rather naked all day, so I won’t be wearing this dress again until next fall when I will once again be able to wear “regular belly” sized tights.
Dress: Old Navy
Top: The Limited
Boots: Target
Pregnancy: 31 weeks

I’ll let you in on a little secret about this ruffled top, first seen HERE, back when I had a waist. (Ah, those were the days…) As you can see, it’s not a maternity top, but I thought the ruffled detailing would look cute under this dress so I decided to wear it anyway. To accommodate my belly, only the top few buttons are buttoned and the rest of the shirt is completely open underneath the dress. A useful little trick for expectant mothers to get more out of your non-maternity wardrobe!

I almost forgot you were pregnant before I saw the profile shot! You don’t even look pregnant from the front!
Love the white ruffled top. I agree that tights would complete the look – especially since the dress is so short! Very cute though.
I heart argyle
you are so.gorgeous. you are all belly! it will take you no time at all to jump back to your pre pregancy weight…that is always nice — yay!
so cute!!! I want that dress!
This dress is so cute and it’s even cuter that you’re pregnant. Love it!
When I saw the title of your post, I was hoping for something gorgeous and cozy–that dress did not fail! It’s lovely! But you’re right, your legs do look a little nekkid!
You are so cute and adorable! Love this outfit!
When I was pregnant I bought tights a size bigger and yanked them all the way over my belly. They were so comfy that way. You look cute!
You are too cute. I hate wearing tights. Maybe try leggings?

I searched high and low last year and finally found opaque maternity tights at Motherhood Maternity. Even though they were maternity I still had to snip the waistband at the end to accommodate the belly, but they were handy in the MN winter!
My most adorable pregnant friend never fails to amaze me! Love this. Even with bare legs (though I totally understand the want for tights – I went without the other day and spent the whole day feeling like my legs were going to freeze off.)
Thanks everyone!
@Angela–That, and “you don’t even look pregnant from behind” are quite possibly my favorite compliments. Ever. Thank you!
@Amber.–You are too sweet. And I certainly hope you’re right!
@Amber–So happy to hear the dress didn’t disappoint!
@Lindsey–Thanks for the tip! I only have 6 weeks of pregnancy left, so I think I’m just going to try to stick it out w/o wearing any more outfits that require tights. But I certainly hope to make up for that next year!
you look great, as usual!
I love the shirt underneath too.
Hi! I just thought I would put this out there…I am due the same day as you and have found that the $20 I spent on leggings at Target was well worth it. I wear them under lots of stuff and they are super comfortable. They don’t give you that annoying waist line and stay up fairly well, so if you find yourself just dying to wear a dress, you might want to check them out. They are made by BE Band. Best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy!
