We’ve been having some warm weather recently this fall, so I was happy to get one last wear out of my favorite fall dress! I got this pretty paisley number at Vanity of all places. Yeah, that’s right. Vanity. The store in the mall geared more toward girls closer to their 20s than women in their 30s. But in my defense it was probably about 5 years ago that I bought this dress, so technically I was somewhere in the middle of those two decades. I was walking by and spotted this red paisley fabric in their front window and just had to try it on. Ten minutes later it was mine. Along with some glitter eyeshadow. And maybe some jelly bracelets. Thankfully I outgrew the teen accessories phase, but this dress is one purchase I’m hanging on to!
Dress: Vanity
Tank top: Motherhood Maternity
Cardigan: New York & Company
Boots: Target
Pregnancy: 30 weeks

Love the colours! Great outfit!
Cute dress, cute boots!!! Let the ugly high under-the-boob belt go!
Super cute!
Add some brown or cream leggings and you can take that look well into winter. You look amazing for 30-weeks!
@Anonymus #1–you must have missed our big belt debate. But please don’t call anything of Dusty’s (or anyone’s) ugly. That’s just rude.
@Anonymus #2–Totally agree. Some leggings would take that outfit all the way back to spring and summer. I’d have to say cream leggings over brown, because then you could find a scrumptious cream scarf to wear with it!
SUPER cute!! as usual š
Dare I admit that my first thought was “those are some sexy boots!” But then I felt a little weird calling a sweet soon-to-be mother sexy.
You look amazing though, and those boots make the outfit.
So cute! I’m in that awful stage of pregnancy (14 weeks) where I don’t fit in my old stuff at all, but am not really big enough for maternity yet and it’s too cold for cute dresses. So I’ve been kind of stuck the past week and I seem to wear the same things every day.
You look wonderful! I remember when I was in my third trimester, I had the hardest time feeling attractive and finding clothing that would make me feel a small (no pun intended) semblance to my former, un-pregnant self.
The high waist belt thing isn’t for me, but I think it looks cute on you! Plus, you always look like you feel good in your outfits and that’s the best part of these fashion entries of yours. People need to get some tact (Anon 1, I’m looking at you).
Thanks for your comments everyone!
@Anonymous(1)–It’s actually not a belt. It’s the empire waist tie that’s attached to the dress–although I’m sure that doesn’t change your opinion of the look. That’s okay–to each their own! š
@Anonymous(2)–Oh how I would’ve loved to wear tights with this outfit (and another dress/boots outfit I have coming up) but unfortunately I don’t have any maternity tights (do they even make maternity tights??) and regular tights look just AWFUL on me right now. They cut into my belly so badly. It’s really not pretty. Or comfortable.
Knee-high boots and tights are one my favorite fall looks, but I guess I’ll have to wait until next fall to bust the tights out!
@Amber–Thanks! And I’ll definitely try this outfit out with cream tights next year!
@alexandjess–I love the thought that a woman who’s 30 weeks pregnant could still be considered sexy. Thank you!
@WindyCityKelley’s–Ugh, I remember that stage. Luckily it was summer for me so I was able to wear a lot of dresses at the time, which helped. Maybe try your belly band and some oversized sweaters/cardigans? Good luck sweetie!
@Grace–Thank you! I’ve had a lot of fun dressing this big ol’ pregnant body, lol!
D, if tights aren’t your thing, opt for leggings! Those boots would completely cover the fact that they aren’t toe length! Target sells all kinds (but no cream, drat!). Check them out here: http://tinyurl.com/ybcqqfh
@Amber–Ooh, I never thought about leggings. Great idea! Thanks for the link!
