You Know You’re Pregnant When…

December 16, 2009 By Dusty Rogers 9 Comments

…you get up and go to the bathroom, and have to pee again before you can even sit back down.

I hate that! Our childbirth educator told us that you don’t really have to pee again, it’s just the baby’s head hitting against your bladder while you walk and it gives off the feeling of having to pee. She said if you sit down for a minute, the feeling will go away.

LOL………my problem was the opposite, I would have to go rather urgently (hoping I would make it to the bathroom) and once I got up and starting walking my daughter would shift and the feeling would go completely away. Thought to myself screw this, I am already up might as well try! This was also near the end and I had a 8# 6oz.!!

This is just God’s way of prepping you for the many sleepless nights ahead once your little girl graces us with her presence!

Love it. Hey, by the way, now is the time for me to advise you to buy yourself a giant box of giant pads with wings. You will need them after your girl arrives. Oh, and they don’t work so well on thong undies, so get yourself some nice little Jockey string bikinis. You’ll thank me.

I know this exact feeling! Don’t worry, about a week to a month after giving birth you will get that convenient childbirth amnesia and forget all about it. :)

    Thanks for your comments everyone!

@Kristal–You’re totally right. Sitting usually does help.

@jbhat–Thanks for the reminder! I’m so focused on what the baby will need once she’s born that I keep forgetting about the things that I’ll need. Off to check out pads, and undies…and nursing bras. Anything else I should be picking up?

I have this problem and I’m not pregnant. Can’t wait to see what that’s like when I actually am expecting.
