Yeah…. I don’t even answer the phone anymore. Instead the machine kicks in and says “We’re not home right now….no, we’re not at the hospital…and YES we are still pregnant. If you’re calling for some other reason, please leave a message.”
Haha! I love Martha’s comment! You should totally do that!
At least you’re in the cool months still. A friend of mine went over her due date by almost 2 weeks (damn military doctors)–it was the middle of July in SoCal and it was a scorcher! Then she delivered a 9 pound baby. Poor girl.
Here’s hoping we don’t see too many “we’re still here” posts!
I was overdue with ALL 3 of my girls! 10 days, then 8 days and then 6 days. I got thoroughly annoyed when people (who I was talking to in person) would ask “So, no baby yet?” and I felt like screaming:
“Does it LOOK like I’ve had the baby yet??????????????”
Or they’d say “You need to have the baby soon, I want to know who’s in there” as if it never occurred to them that I might be impatient too and wanted encouraging words rather than THEM to tell me how impatient they were. UGH. I could write a book on ‘overdue pregnant woman etiquette’ š
I feel you girl, just walk alot of whatever they say to do, none of it worked for me but trying all the labor starting methods kind of kept me busy. I was 10 days late twice! I cant wait to hear all about the baby and labor!
Are you bad at keeping resolutions? Maybe you should resolve to stay pregnant, and then you’ll be sure to break the resolution within the first two weeks of January. : )
Hang in there D! Won’t be long now. I was a late one, so I know the anticipation of waiting LONG after your due date. Lauren finally arrived 8 days later.
Oh my goodness, I was *just* talking to someone about this…so tired of my mother calling and asking if I have a baby yet (and I’m 3 weeks from my due date…what does she think, I’ll just have the baby and not tell anyone??). Anyway, best wishes for your upcoming arrival, whenever that is (I promise I won’t ask)!
I completely feel your pain. My baby boy finally showed up ten days late and he had to be forcefully evicted with an induction this past October. Hang in there I know the wait is like your a month away from 21 and don’t want to risk getting in trouble for using your fake ID so close to being legal. One of the longest waits of your life.
Thanks everyone! I appreciate all your well wishes–it really means so much to know we have so many wonderful people thinking of us and hoping for good things. Thank you!
LOL, I’m sure! It gets annoying but just keep in mind that everyone is super excited to meet your little girl!
Hang in there hun!
I remember those comments and I went 1.5 weeks early! Hang in there, she will be here soon! Can’t wait to meet her!
haha – one of my friends is the same way. She just has started to ignore all phone calls and texts.
Best wishes for a safe and happy delivery (when it happens!)!!
So yeah, no wine, er, baby yet, huh? š
Hopefully your baby girl decides to make an entrance into this world soon. Until then, enjoy your last little bit of pregnancy!!
Wishing you a happy, healthy and safe delivery!
The best things come to those who wait!!
LB
LOL! Can’t wait to see your little princess.
You’ve got tons of wonderful wishes and good thoughts coming your way. Enjoy your last few moments as a non-kid couple!
hee hee. I totally did this to my friends, so I know they will do it to me in May when I’m due.
wow, you made it! i can’t believe the day is finally here! wishing you a great delivery. can’t wait to see your little one!
Here’s hoping when she does decide to make her grand entrance that all goes extremely well and fast too! Good luck!!
It’s time to eat some jalapenos. I’m serious. I ate tons of jalapenos the night before I went into labor (not on purpose either).
Yeah….
I don’t even answer the phone anymore. Instead the machine kicks in and says “We’re not home right now….no, we’re not at the hospital…and YES we are still pregnant. If you’re calling for some other reason, please leave a message.”
Thinking of you today, Dusty! She’ll be here before you know it, and all will be perfect in your world!

Best of luck once your little one decides to get the show on the road!
Hang in there D! Won’t be long now. I was a late one, so I know the anticipation of waiting LONG after your due date. Lauren finally arrived 8 days later.
Wow! Can’t believe it’s here! Best wishes to you and G! Can’t wait for the big update!

See the problem is all that darn snow and the freakishly cold temps. That baby girl says, “Heck no!” – it’s too nice and warm in her current digs
Best wishes when she finally does arrive!
My mother-in-law always says to tell people you’re due two weeks after your actual due date to avoid all the “is there a baby yet?” talk…
Love your blog… I’ve finally made the switch from blog-stalker to commenter. Can’t wait to read all about your baby!
You poor thing! Not long now though, just hang in there!! Though I totally understand… I have 2 months to go and I’ve already lost all my patience!
Thanks everyone! I appreciate all your well wishes–it really means so much to know we have so many wonderful people thinking of us and hoping for good things. Thank you!
LOL! I can relate!
