Call Us Colorful

April 17, 2009 By Dusty Rogers 11 Comments

My youngest sister Amanda and I recently went nail polish shopping and picked out a couple of bright and fun hues for spring. It wasn’t until the following day that we realized our nail color choices looked incredibly similar to our cell phone colors. Guess we know what we like!

Amanda’s color: OPI’s Koala Beary–I dare you not to flirt with this sassy pink polish at your fingertips!

My color: Jessica Nail Colour in Copper–a juicy coral shade just a little bit warmer than OPI’s Conga Line Coral.

Great colors! I adore this line. I picked up some Jessica Colour in “Cherrywood” and “Marylin” this winter. I wore them all winter long.

I’ve been loving “Soak up the Sun” for Summer.

I love both of those colors. I don’t usually polish my nails but those would look great on my toes. Cute coordination!

Too cute! I wish I could pull off the colored nails — you do it so well!

I LOVE those colors too and now I’m inspired! I used to do my nails all of the time when I worked at the office but now that I’m working from home: neglected nails. :(

I’m definitely getting some polish this weekend! Thanks!

How do you get your nails so perfect? Mine chip within minutes- probably because I’m too impatient to let them dry enough.
I love the hint of shimmer in the orange.

Hehe. I’m the same. I have a HOT pink cover on my iPhone, and my nails (toes and fingers) are hot pink to match. šŸ˜‰

    Very nice.

I’ve been wanting to do my nails but haven’t since fall/winter. I did a dark purple’ish brown at that time. It stained my nails and made it hard to go back to natural when I had a big work event.

Now I have some inspiration. :)

    Thanks for your comments everyone!

@Leigh–I’ve found that letting the polish dry b/w coats is definitely key. I wait at least 5 mins b/w coats.

@blondie–I love dark polish too, and have found that using a good base coat first (before you apply the dark polish) keeps your nails from staining. Hope that helps!
