So my friend Jill stopped by last night and I was telling her about my lofty goals this week. We both agreed the margaritas we were drinking could count as fruit, and then moved on to another subject. I mention to her that I had a hot dog for lunch, which actually makes 8 days in a row I’ve eaten a hot dog. (And now 9 counting today. I’m eating one right now.) What can I say–I’ve been on a hot dog kick lately. She laughs and replies, “That’s the strangest thing I’ve heard all night. Now THAT should go in the blog.”
Here’s my recap of Day 3:
A. Give my house the spring cleaning it never got?
Eh. Didn’t happen. Ooh! Scratch that–I did do some laundry.
B. Work on various home projects I haven’t seemed to find the time for?
I put some thought into a couple projects, but didn’t actually do any of them.
C. Shop my ass off until I can’t fit another pair of shoes into my closet?
I did some shopping, but it was all for other people.
D. Commit to eating fruit and dropping that last 5 pounds?
I did get a jump start on this goal! I ran 3.1 miles (a.k.a. a 5K), did 30 mins on the elliptical, and did some ab work. And I ate a lime. Well…not so much “ate” as drank (see F).
E. Save the environment and end world hunger?
I give myself an A for the day on this one. As far as saving the environment goes, I brought my own bags to Target and the grocery store (first time ever) so I didn’t have to use their plastic bags. As for ending world hunger? I sent a care package full of all sorts of snacks and goodies to my friend currently stationed in Afghanistan.
F. Go on a 9 day bender, drinking and eating whatever I want?
Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Two margaritas and a couple beers.
G. Update my blog daily?
Ta-da! Still going strong!
And since I prefer posts with pictures, here’s a picture of my sassy running shoes. How could you not want to throw these bad boys on and hit the pavement?

Have those shoes! Love those shoes! They would probably enjoy more pavement pounding from me
Sounds like a fun vacation so far!
Those running shoes are fab. I’m going to have to have a chat with my shoe guy about why he has me in red paisley running shoes.
Blender should be perfect, I only own a food processor, so we have to drink our Margs on the rocks.
The dance lessons are with the soon-to-be-hubs for the way too quickly approaching wedding (2 weeks). It’s so much fun, we’ll definitely be keeping it up after the festivities.
Umm…I love hot dogs. I had three tonight! Love the running shoes!
The bit about the hotdogs made me laugh! My husband and I bought a package of all beef, all natural hotdogs from Costco a few weeks back(I think there were about 20-30in the package) and we ate them everyday until they were gone! OMG there is nothing like a good hotdog.
