Going To Hell in a Handbag

August 26, 2008 By Dusty Rogers 17 Comments

Seriously, somebody pinch me. I’m certain I’ve died and gone to heaven. Wait. That can’t be right. With my rap sheet, I’m sure to head due south. Ahhh…then nothing like a little gluttony during my layover here on Earth. Presenting my gorgeous new Kate Spade handbag:

It’s the perfect summer bag–which arrived just in time for fall. But that, my friends, is perfectly fine with me. Because not only do I still have some time to cherish it, but I also saved major coin waiting for the end of the season to buy it!

It’s so beautiful I can’t even bear to hang it in the entryway closet. Instead it gets its own seat at our kitchen table. And sometimes I even talk to it. Kidding…kind of.

Not only is it the perfect summer bag–it’s also perfect for work! Even though it’s not very deep, it’s wide enough to fit my planner and a legal sized note pad!

Just one more photo of my beauty–I can’t help myself.

Forget rolling the dice with the afterlife–I’ll stick with this.

(And now my place in Hell is officially solidified with that last statement. Not to mention those parking tickets. And that one time in Tijuana.)

Ooh, I love it’s texture, I love the clasp, and I love it’s size. Fabulous. Don’t worry about the afterlife, wherever you are or whatever you may be reincarnated as, at least you will have held that beauty. Did you get a haircut, or am I just on hair obsession since I chopped mine off today?

    Best. Bag. Ever.

Thank GOD I didn’t see that out shopping. I did, however, see eight million things at Sephora. I’d have been better of with Kate.

AGGGHHH!!!! Yes, I cut my damn hair!! And I HATE it! I took a couple self pic close-ups to share my shame and disdain on the blog, but I don’t think the pics do the bad ‘do any justice. It acually doesn’t look that bad in pics. But TRUST ME, in real life–not cute. =( How did yours turn out?

And thanks for the well-wishes for my afterlife! I may not have good hair, but at least I’ll have gorgeous handbags!!

Oh no! Looks really cute in the picture with your handbag. It will be okay, hair grows. Do you want me to send you the hat I wore for three months after my last haircut?

Emily–yes, please FedEx that hat to me. Overnight delivery.

Bayjb–Thanks babe!! It was super expensive, but since I patiently–and for the first time ever!–waited for it to go on sale, I paid $150 for it (down from it’s original $400 price tag). Woohoo!

OMG, what a deal you got on that bag!!! That makes it even cuter, if that is even possible, in my mind.
