At least that’s what I think it means. Either that or I’m “premio.” But I have no clue what that means, so I’m sticking with brilliant. Hey–if you don’t declare yourself brilliant who else will? Well, 2 people I guess: me and and the fabulous Jen over at a thousand words–one of my favorite blogs–who awarded me THIS:
Granted, it sounds like a bit of a sympathy vote, but hell–I’ll take it. She also considers me “clandestine” which is another word I don’t know but it sounds sexy so I’ll take that, too. A “brilliant clandestine premio”. I’m all over it. Throw a Gucci tag on it and I’ll sleep with it.
Now here’s the fun part! The part where I pass this award on to 7 of my favorite blogs in hopes of buying friendships and life-long reader loyalty. And wine. All things I demand from those of you who accept this award.
So without further ado, here they are!
1. Freckles Chick–What can I say about Freckles Chick? She is all around fabulous. I absolutely love her style–clean, classic, and contemporary. I always look forward to seeing a new post from her.
2. Bower Power–If her witty sense of humor doesn’t win you over, her good looks will. No one’s ever looked cuter striking an Olympic pose in a Volunteer Tee.
3. A Girl’s Guide to Shoes–The crack dealer for my shoe habit. Although ever since she bought these and these, I’m not sure we can be cyber friends anymore. Unless she’s a shoe size 8. In which case I expect an immediate invite to her house where I’ll gladly pay the surcharge for an extra (empty when I arrive, full when I leave) suitcase.
4. jannypie’s craft empire–My wonderful friend Janny is so talented–from crafts, to scrapbooking, to blog designs–she just oozes creativity!
5. Caught Eating Butter–We don’t hear from Lis and The Boy nearly often enough, but when we do it’s worth the wait! She cracks me up.
6. This Young House–Although I’m new to the blogging world, I’ve seen links to This Young House in many of the blogs I’ve visited. Eventually I checked them out for myself, and yep–I’m smitten. Cutest couple ever, with one of the most beautiful, yet still realistic–in that way that makes you think you can make your house look like that too (but you can’t)–houses I’ve seen. They are oh-so-charming and I want to move in with them.
And before I hand out my final award, I’d like to give a speech.
:::Please standby while I grab a drink:::
As John Beckwirth once said, in one of my favorite classic movies, “True love is your soul’s recognition of its counterpoint in another.” And that, my friends, is how I feel about I feel about our final award recipient:
7. Emily at far from imperfect. I love this girl. Read her blog and you will too.
So there they are–7 of my favorite blogs! So what do you have to do Winners? First, grab a drink and join me in a toast. Second, rub it in to your friends. Next, post this award in your blog and pass it on to 7 of your favorites. And lastly, don’t forget to pay up (I prefer red). Yep, simple as that. Enjoy!

Thanks for the honour, my clandestine, brilliante friend.
Well I think you’re brillinat and I dont’ really even know you. I so badly wanted to tag you for my bad hair tag, but a) as I said I’m not sure we know eachother well enough for that and b) you just seem to be SO perfect, I can’t ever imagine you having bad hair.
But you do strike me as the kinda fun gal who would totally do it.
Hey D!
Congrats on your honor. Wanted to let you know you inpired me to start my own blog. Oh boy!
Sporty
WOW!!! Thank you so much, although I’m not all together sure how I feel about being referred to as a crack dealer but as long as it’s for your shoe habit, I think I can live with it:)! I am, unfortunately not a size 8 but you can bet we’re on for shoe shopping if we’re ever in the same city. I was actually tagged for this award not that long ago by Style for the Stay At Home Mom but I am truly honored by your tag.
Well damn it all to hell–according to my friend Janny, this award doesn’t mean “brilliant” it means “gay and showy” or something like that (check out her blog for more details). So clearly, I’m not brilliant, otherwise I would have known that, right? But apparently I am gay and showy???
Well I can’t disagree with the “showy” part. And I did have a dream about Angelina Jolie the other night (who hasn’t?). So…alright. I’ll own gay and showy.
But consider me still holding out for brilliant!
Awwww, thanks for the brilliante honor, girl! You are so sweet, I’m blushing over here!
Off to post about my “gay and showy” award =)
