Kate Spade Is A Hooker

August 14, 2008 By Dusty Rogers 10 Comments

And I mean that in a purely loving, non-soliciting on the street corner, kind of way. I just like saying “hooker”. It’s a term of endearment really. I even have a little hand signal that goes with it. Which I’d show you–except my camera’s broken.

Anyway, back to why Kate Spade is a hooker. In my mission to spend less money I’ve decided to delete any email announcing a “Big Sale!” or “New Arrivals!” If I don’t see it, I don’t want it. Sorry West Elm, Pottery Barn, New York & Company, Crate & Barrel, White House Black Market, DSW, Banana Republic, Zappos, and Nike–you’re all currently padding my cyberspace trash bin. But I just couldn’t bring myself to delete my email from Kate Spade announcing the following:

That KS green is G&D kryptonite! And see that opening line? Told you–total hooker.

Well now that I took the bait, I’ve gotta show you the goods. Check out this navy ribboned CUTENESS! The coconut grove east west lenore $245 Sale: $221 + 25% off

Love this clutch! The paisley elkie clutch $195 Sale: $98 + 25% off

This bag–made of nylon–would make a fun little gym bag. The renwick street anabel $145 Sale: $109 + 25% off

Who would ever use a plastic bag again with this fabulous tote? The two tone canvas medium shopper $295 Sale: $159 + 25% off

Cute little Americana folded clutch made of striped ticking. The chattanooga jocelyn $175 Sale: $131 + 25% off

The beautifully simple foster crossing flat serena $395 Sale: $296 + 25% off

And my personal favorite–The darlington jackie $395 Sale: $198 + 25% off I’ve been eyeing this beauty ever since Kate brought it to my attention in a “New Arrivals!” email (again with the no willpower). And now that it’s on sale, I snatched it up! Yep–I ordered this pretty little number yesterday and I’m SO EXCITED for it to arrive!!

Got your eye on one for yourself? I’d love to hear about it! And get yours while the getting’s good–the sale ends tomorrow!

I LOVE that clutch! I would love to own her but I’m sure my dh would have a fit! =)

Someday the sale rack at Kate Spade will be affordable for me… not today though…

I can’t wait to see what you purchase! You always have great taste!!!

I’d have to agree KS is a hooker.

    I’m living vicariously through you.

My biggest splurge on a handbag was an $18.40 F21 purse . . . sniffle.

Call me crazy, but I am just not seeing how any of those bags are worth more than about 25 or 30 bucks. I’m totally an anti-bag whore.

    :giggle:

    Sorry, D.

Hooker is my most favorite term of endearment for all my girlfriends – been using it for years. Love it!

Hmm unfortunately I can’t see any of the images but KS can be a real tease. I used to like her stuff more but now I’m a bit more meh since she sold her company.

Yo–no worries! You know I’m a handbag whore–I just can’t help myself! It’s my thing. šŸ˜› My girlfriend Jill buys $100+ jeans and I think that’s crazy!! We all have our thing I guess. šŸ˜‰

Kate–I store my bags in their dust bag and line them up on the top shelf of my closet. I hang my bags that are in season on a hook inside my entryway closet for easier access. Nothing too fancy but it gets the job done!
