While this isn’t a very “summery” outfit, it wasn’t a very summery day. It felt much more like fall than summer, so I went with it. Nothing special about my outfit on this day–just jeans, a simple top, and heels–but this is how I dress a lot of days, which is why I wanted to post it.
And of course we can’t forget about the handbag! This handbag–the Michael Kors Brookville Shopper–was my very first designer handbag purchase. My first leather love you might say. The one that started it all!
Jeans: GAP
Top: New York & Company
Shoes: Nicole (from DSW)
Handbag: Michael Kors
Pregnancy: 13 weeks
These are my favorite pair of jeans, but I don’t think I’ll be getting them buttoned much longer. So in honor of of my pregnant growing body I will admit that I took a picture of my ass on this day–just so I can kiss it goodbye!
Oooh it must be so tough to be THAT adorable!
My heart aches for you. lol
Love your blog.
It’s the first thing I read when I get to work.
Forget e-mails.
Forget whateverthebossissaying.
Just gimme my G&D!
You are too cute! I’m loving that I found your blog – don’t know if you remember me from the Nest or not.
Glad to “see” you online!
Cute! Love Love Love the bag! BTW I have been searching for those shoes or a pair like them for a long time!
Haha.. girl, you’ll keep the booty in shape, I’m sure! Don’t you love casual days?
I have a Michael Kors Brookville in black. I am so in love with it that it probably wouldn’t be considered healthy. š
Hi, this is the first time I think I’ve commented on your blog. I just wanted to say that I’ve been reading for a while and it gives me a smile in the morning when I get to work.
About not buttoning up your jeans I have 2 tips for you.
1. Use a hair rubberband to loop around your buckle and the hole. That gives you some room.
2. You can use a Bella Band (sold at Target, Walmart, Motherhood) that goes around your regular jeans so you don’t have to buy maternity pants too soon. HTH
Congrats again!
Super cute outfit. I like to dress this way on off days, too. So comfy and casual and totally chic! You look fabulous, as always!
Your outfit is cute! I love those shoes and handbag.
I’m semi new to your blog, but loving it.
Are you going to start posting cute maternity outfits now?
Wait, are you 14 weeks pregnant in this photo? If so, can you be my cute pregnant lady trainer when I’m knocked up? It would require one of us to move, I don’t do virtual training.
Totally my kind of outfit!
Love the shoes.
I notice you wear them a lot.
Don’t you love it when you have that one pair of shoes you know you can put with ANYTHING?
Go on girl, capture that booty now!! Don’t be ashamed!
LB.
I’m pretty much thinking of cheating on my brand new Tano bag with your gorgeous Michael Kors bag. Love it!
You look cute and casual and the bag is the perfect touch. I have a feeling that you will probably just carry it all in the front. Can’t wait to see how your pregnancy progresses.
(and someone had good advice on that Bella Band. It will keep you in your favey jeans and pants for a while, I bet.)

Love the outfit, very cute! Thanks for the diet/fitness tips in your previous post! Wish you lived close by and we could both work out like mad women!
Tried the V8 juice on my drive home- didn’t rush through the door and head straight to the fridge so that’s a plus!!
That MK bag was my first designer purse obsession too! How funny. I LOVED that bag. Still would love it but it met it’s fate awhile ago.
Love the outfit and I am SO EXCITED to see what you do with your outfits to accommodate your adorable non-existent tummy!
You’ll be happy to know Gap has the BEST maternity jeans hands down!! Worth every single penny.
Thank you everyone!
@Ang–Your comment totally made my day. Thank you!
@Gibsy–Welcome! I always love hearing from a fellow Nestie!
@E–I have 3 pairs of Nicole shoes (2 wedges, and one stacked heel) all in this whiskey brown color (one of my favorite colors) and all of them came from DSW. Hope that helps you in your search!
@Saving Cents–I know exactly what you mean, girl!
@Sabrina’s spot–Thanks for your sweet comment, and the tips! I already have rubber bands and a white Bella Band on standby! I keep thinking I’ll wake up one day and just POP and need to have these things ready, so I wanted to be prepared. I’m hoping they work for me!
@MeggyD–Hi & welcome! Thanks for your comment.
@Anonymous–Yep, I definitely plan to post maternity outfits once this little rugrat gives me a nice big baby belly to show off. I can’t wait!
@Emily–I’m actually 13 weeks pregnant in this photo. I’m a little behind on my fashion posts, but tying to catch up. I think I’ll go back and edit this post (and the others) so people are clear on how far along I am in each pic. Anyway, thank you for your sweet comment! And I would love to be your pregnant lady trainer, lol!
@LizzieBeth–Yep, I wear these shoes nearly every day! They’re a favorite of mine in the summer.
@Christy–Ooh, I’m so glad you found my tip helpful! Good for you for resisting raiding the fridge when you got home. That’s a major nightly hurdle in my house, lol!
@DylanVance–I’m so happy to hear that! I’ve already snatched up one pair on clearance a few weeks ago. Way too early to start thinking about maternity jeans, I know, but I just happened to come across them and they are the exact same style as a pair of regular GAP jeans I have right now, so I just had to have them. Plus they were originally $70 but I got them for $20! Can’t beat that! I can’t wait to start wearing them–I love them!
you are too cute!
I love the simplicity, and sometimes, you just need those days. Thanks again for sharing.
Looking fabulous!!!
You look fantastic! What style are those jeans?
Thanks girls!
@Kalee–they’re not one of Gap’s regular styles. They were a special limited edition style, or something like that, so unfortunatley I don’t know the style name of them (if they even have a style name. Sorry!
