Reunited and It Feels So Good

Hello Starbucks, my love. I have returned. Fall has arrived and I just cannot stay away from your delicious, steamy, pumpkin spice lattes. I told you I’d be back after we temporarily parted ways last spring, and I meant it. Thank you for waiting for me, Starbucks. Thank you!

Dammit, I should have used the drive-thru!

Okay, okay, I confess. I have some explaining to do. I realize I may look a little bit...um...different from the last time we saw each other. We were on a break and you took it well and waited for me just like I had requested. I, on the other hand, got knocked up.

Hey, it happens!

The bad news is it’s not yours. The good news is I won’t be going after you for child support payments and stock options. And while my current condition may lead you to believe I did not hold up my end of the bargain, I assure you that no other coffee shop caught my eye during our hiatus. (Unless it had the only bathroom in sight, in which case I promise I only looked--never touched!)

So let’s pick up where we left off, shall we? Give me my pumpkin spice latte--and hell yes add the whipped cream (baby needs dairy). I promise you in no time we’ll be back to our old routine and you’ll forget all about that time I left you for six months and came back pregnant with someone else’s child.
