Skinny Jeans

October 11, 2010 By Dusty Rogers 26 Comments

No, this doesn’t mean I’ve lost the necessary 10-15 pounds it’d take for my new body to fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes.  It means I’m finally embracing skinny-legged jeans!  I admit I was one helluva hold-out, but I finally picked up a pair and I really like them!

Jeans:  Gap
Top:  Boston Store
Shoes:  Old Navy

I have been sucked into the skinny jean hole too. But wait until you try a jegging. omfg.. love. I picked some up from ON and it’s just feeding this downward spiral of jean love.

    btw, you look AWESOME.

They look great on you! And kudos to you for wearing them with sandals…I can’t bring myself to do anything other than tall boots with them at this point. My hips feel like they are way too on-display otherwise.

Lookin good! I am a flare/boot cut devotee too. I am trying to find a pair of skinnies that I like & won’t make me look like a tank. I may have to try the Gap. Gawd, I need to get with the times!

I have these exact jeans and LOVE them! So much so that I’m buying another pair today… everything’s 40% off at GAP today! :)

    You look gorgeous!

I was hesitant to hop aboard the skinny jean train as well! But, I love mine (and it gave me a great excuse to buy some cute boots!).

Now, you must try the jegging! They are so comfy – you could sleep in them! You look fabulous and stylish – as always!

I LOVE my Gap skinny jeans. My hubs isn’t sold on them, but that’s because I have always been a boot cut/flare leg girl.

I took the plunge and grabbed some jeggings this fall. I was worried about how big my butt/hips would look, but honestly? Those things are so freaking comfortable I don’t care.

    You look great!

Welcome to the dark side! As you may know, I recently crossed over myself. Now get yourself some jeggings and leggings – oh my gosh, it’s as comfy as being in pyjamas all day, it’s great.

They may be comfy, but do they have to be called jegging? Ugh, the word makes me cringe.

You really do look so great!

They look adorable on you! I seriously just can NOT embrace them. So, I’m still holding out.

I’m sure, by the time I do, they’ll be out of style. Typical me.

I’ve been contemplating jumping on the train myself and I might just bite the bullet soon after seeing this. Question for you: You seem to be a huge fan of Gap jeans. Do you find that they stretch out throughout the day? You know how you put on a pair of jeans in the morning and they look perfect and by the afternoon, you are suffering from saggy butt? Have you been able to avoid that with the GAP jeans.

    Re: Amanda

The sales girls at my store say to size down because the jeans will stretch a half size through the day. Also, they tell me to wear my jeans around the house (with the tags still on!) to see if I like how and where they’ll stretch. If I dont like how they turn out, they’re return-able! Hope this helps!

Dusty, sorry if I hijacked your comments, couldn’t resist sharing my experience with GAP with Amanda!

    Thanks so much everyone!

@Nani–Oh yeah, I’ve been rocking jeggings lately too. Love them!

@theclambroll–Believe me, I look pretty hipalicious in mine too, but I don’t care. Time to embrace the curves!

    @jbhat–So true.

@Amber–They do stretch a bit, but Grace gave great advice on how to handle it. That’s how I manage it too–thanks Grace!

I really like them! Which style of Gap jeans are these ones? I’m on the site but there are three different kinds that look similar, Legging Jeans, Always Skinny and Real Straight. Does anyone know which ones I should order (or which ones Dusty is wearin)?

    Thanks :)

Hi KOS–these are the Forever Skinny, which are just like the Always Skinny but with a slightly higher rise. I also have a pair of the legging jeans and whoamigawd I love them!! They’re so soft and comfy but are much less structured than the Skinnys.
