January brings resolutions, and mine mainly revolved around getting reacquainted with my gym and my running shoes. Of course the best way to do this, in my opinion, is by buying new workout clothes. I picked out these two incredibly comfortable (and very forgiving!) tops from Gap and Old Navy and I absolutely love them.
This top is so soft and comfortable that I can’t wait for it to warm up so I can lounge around in it all day! It runs BIG, so make sure you size down if you decide to purchase it. I don’t like my workout clothes to be too snug and would typically order a medium, but I ordered a small and it’s very roomy.
Prefer sleeveless? I usually do, too, and this one’s a winner. It’s so lightweight you might as well be naked. There isn’t a single spot on this top that feels tight on your skin. I love this little number so much I just ordered two more!
3. OPI “I Saw…You Saw…We Saw…Warsaw” Polish
My sister Amanda gave me this nail polish for Christmas and this shade of navy blue is so gorgeous. Perfect for winter!
4. Wholly Guacamole Minis
Guacamole has been a staple in our house since I did the Whole30, but we don’t always go through it fast enough before it browns. I found these single-serving Wholly Guacamole cups at Costco, and now we’re hooked. This is quite possibly the most exciting thing to hit the G&D household since Netflix.
5. My new Apple MacBook Pro!
I’m currently learning my way around a new MacBook Pro (I’m new to Mac) and loving it! I have a lot of photos and files on my old laptop that I still need to transfer over, so I’m not exclusively using my Mac yet, but as I switch back and forth between laptops I definitely prefer my Mac. I’m going to try to learn Pages and Numbers and not download the Microsoft Office software for Mac if I can help it. Anyone else try this? I’d love to hear your transition went. Any other tips, tricks, apps, etc. you’d like to recommend for a Mac newbie? I’d love to hear them!

I LOVE my MacBook! But I HATE Pages and Numbers. I am not a gifted computers person but I am a fairly advanced Microsoft Excel person (I use it constantly at work– huge part of my daily life. ) Maybe this combo is why I have trouble: I know enough to expect a lot from the Mac versions but maybe am not computer savvy enough to adjust and learn the different programs. But I have to say I have used both the Microsoft Suite for Mac and the basic Pages and Numbers and both made me want to tear my hair out because they are so different from what I’m used to. It’s worth it to me to have a Mac for the other awesome features though. Good luck and I hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for the feedback, Carly. I think I’ll try to find some online tutorials to help me make the transition. I’m worried I’ll be in exactly the situation you describe – wanting to pull my hair out!
Those tops look amazing, but I think I am too heavy right now to wear them. But I am working on it! Those 100 calorie guacamole packs have been a life saver for me. I dip veggies on them, use them as a spread on my sandwich….I love them!
Aren’t they the best?! At first I was annoyed my Costco didn’t have the larger packs that I usually buy, but these were a blessing in disguise!
I use a PC at work, but a MacBook Pro at home. I’d recommend using Google Drive for all of the files you want to be able to access on either machine. I haven’t purchased the Office suite yet and it hasn’t been a problem at all. Enjoy!
I don’t use Google Drive, but I’ll check it out. Thanks for the recommendation, Chrissy!
We are an Apple family with an iMac desktop, MacBook Pro, iPhones, iPad….blah, blah you get the picture. I have the office suite on both computers specifically for word and excel. I love my Mac but given that I use a PC at work & the depth of my office knowledge it just made sense.
Oh yeah, that definitely makes sense if you find yourself going back and forth. I’m hoping to stick with Apple from here on out!
