Like My Pretty Dahlias?

August 29, 2008 By Dusty Rogers 9 Comments

I’m no Martha Stewart, but I “made” these myself–freshly cut from my garden just yesterday! Growing your own is so much cheaper (and more satisfying) than buying fresh-cut flowers in the store. And they are looking just lovely sitting on my kitchen counter. An instant pick me up!

That is so crazy!!! I went to lunch with my girlfriend and she brought me some flowers… they were dahlias too! They are sitting on my desk in a little cup almost exactly like the picture of yours… how weird! They must be in season!!!

    Very pretty flower!!!

I love dahlias, they are gorgeous! So happy to hear that you cut them from your own garden, that just steps them up a notch on top of it all!

darn you and your green thumb…that is unless you wanna come over and plant stuff in my yard – it would probably grow if you did it :) it absolutely hates me.

Love them! I’m replanting our garden (looong story regarding my MIL), I think these might have just made the list.

Just lovely, I am beginning to see you are a woman with many talents.

Did you ever post any photos of the outside of your house btw? If so, pls direct me to the right post, I’m terribly nosy – in a strictly non-stalkerish way of course. :o)

    Thanks everyone!!

Dianne–nope, no outside pics of my house have been posted yet–but maybe someday! It’s not much to look at to be honest with you–very basic, nondescript, traditional-style, 2 story tract home.
