West Elm Welcomes Me

October 21, 2008 By Dusty Rogers 14 Comments

I took a detour on my way home from Chicago last week to visit one of my favorite home goods stores for the very first time–West Elm! Oh how I love me some West Elm. I was so excited pulling up that I couldn’t resist snapping a picture! (Oh yeah–I’m that girl.)

After dropping some cash in Chicago (because–well–it’s Chicago) I decided not to spend much money on my maiden trip to West Elm. I only purchased one thing–this cute little tray, perfect for our coffee table.

Call me crazy…but is this the West Elm in Oak Brook? I think I would know this store front anywhere, but I’ve been wrong before. I was just in there on Saturday to buy some new curtains. I am dying to hang them up tonight when I get home!

Cute! They just opened one here, we should have went when you were here! Not only that but The Container Store just opened right next to it. I’d be safer in the ghetto than near those two places!

I absolutely love your style! I have a great resolution for the wall in the kitchen that has the light switch and thermostat. Check out my blog tomorrow and I will have a post with a picture of what I did in my house.

    Take care,
    Lisa

    P.S.
Where is your coffee table from?

Oh yeah, the TYH thing. Yes, they were touting it as G from G&D everytime they mentioned your name. I wrote some comment about it and it was changed to D – so my comment made me look like a weirdo who was just clarifying how your hubs was. Haha.

I love it!! So cute and classy. BTW your comment about licking your monitor when viewing my blog made me laugh :) Oh, and I’m officially in stalker status now that I actually dreamt about you – you were living in my town and we became BFF lol!

i totally know where that is and I live in NJ šŸ˜‰

I go there whenever I am out in IL for work, sad that it is easier to get to than the one in Philly for me! šŸ˜‰

I am so jealous you went to a west elm, I have never been! I drool over their catalog every month and just love their grommet drapes.

West Elm is one of my favorite stores! I have never been in one tho. I’m sure I would go bananas so it’s probably for the best. Love the tray!

I have heard so much about West Elm lately. I WANT ONE! I looked it up and the closest one is 3 hours away. I may just have to make the trip.

    Or I could shop online…

I can’t tell you how much I love the way you have decorated your home. So many of your pictures have inspired ideas for my apartment, I just have to wait until my budget will allow such purchases.
