1. Let me tell you about glittens–half glove, half mitten, full of warmth! I’ve never even heard of glittens until my youngest sister Amanda gave me a pair for Christmas, and now I’m a glitten convert! I don’t have pictures of my actual pair, but here are some pictures I found from a Google search. You can wear them as mittens OR fold the top down, secure it to the little button by the wrist, and have your fingers exposed so you can do things that require a little more dexterity–like texting. Brilliant!

2. The inauguration of President Obama–what an amazing day!
3. My BFF Jamie Louise coming down for a little weekend visit! From catching up over overpriced bottles of beer, to cheap cans of Miller Lite, to warding off Random Weird Guy, not to mention hours of girl talk with a little Kate and Leo thrown in–we had a blast!

4. “Gives You Hell” by The All American Rejects–I cannot get enough of this song!
5. I’m running again! So far it’s going really well–a few twinges of pain here and there, but nothing significant. I’ve been taking it slowly, resting in between runs, cross training, and strength training–so far so good! I’m looking forward to the weather (someday!) warming up so I can hit the pavement instead of the treadmill, but for now I’ll take what I can get. I’m tracking my miles in the right margin of my blog (scroll down toward the bottom) so you can follow my mileage. So far I’m 33.5 miles into my goal of 400 miles for the year–only 366.5 more miles to go! How are all my other running readers doing so far this year?

I am also totally loving the new AAR song. I need to go home and itunes it right now.
Way to go keeping up with running! I’ve only gone a couple times…I keep freakin forgetting! That’s what happens when you don’t do it for a while. A good friend who writes On the Run (ontheruninnc.blogspot.com) is looking for people to submit running stories. With your fabulous writing style, I’d love to see you share some of your running tales.
New reader. Thanks for the Gives you hell stuck in my head now. The gift that keeps giving!
Good job on the running!!!
I actually had a goal of 40 miles a month and came to 39.9 in January. I know it’s stupid but the .01 is really bothering me. This is the problem with being a math person (stupid engineering degree!) it feels like I messed up my first month of my top ’09 resolution!. I should have just put on my Nike+ and walked around the house or something…lol
Oh well š
Love the glittens! Not that I could use them in FL, but may get a pair for winter/skiing vacations!
I love glittens! Especially the little thumb cover. Too cute. And Miller Lite. Gotta love it.
D-your running log is inspiring! Of course I got all excited about running and have only ran twice in the last 2 weeks but I’m going tonight so I’ll keep you posted. have a great day

Love those gloves!!!
You have been tagged: 25 Random Things. Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 5 people to be tagged. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you.–Amber
I do love glittens. They’re fabulous. My running is going slower than yours, but your log is a good motivator!
I have glittens too. I got them this winter and even though my husband thinks they are completely insane I love them. I’ve been doing Runners World plan for beginning runners and its going pretty well. I’m looking forward to taking my running outside even thought it scares me too death to run on actual terrain and not my flat surface treadmill but my husband swears its not as bad as I think it will be.
@Erin–thanks for the referral! You’ve really got me thinking now about “why” I run. Hmm…I’ll see if I can whip something up to submit. Thanks!
@Andreina–GRRR!! That .1 would have irked me too! Good luck with your 40 this month!
@Taps–you’re too funny! Hope you’re having more luck with your running this week! Looking forward to seeing you in 2 weeks!!
@Kathy–running outside is a little harder than treadmill running, but the on the bright side–it’s MUCH more interesting and seems to go by much faster than running indoors. Good luck!
