Well, it’s official–I finally got around to taking down our Christmas decorations. How sad to see our beautiful tree stripped of all it’s glitz and glory. Oh, how the mighty have fallen!
But the good news is–in 10 months I’ll be putting it all back up again!

you are just now taking it down!?! I couldn’t handle mine up that long
@Jeremy and Mindy–oh yeah, it was way overdue! I just kept putting it off and putting it off. Such a procrastinator! š
In Colorado we have a tradition that you do not take your xmas decorations (outside usually) down until after the Nat’l Western Stock Show ends as a sign of hospitality to the folks in from out of town! The Stock Show ends tomorrow
So, you’re right on time here!
We didn’t wait that long this year as the little guy was using the tree and ornaments as batting practice and our electric bill was sky-high due to the outdoor lights, so for $ sake we took everything down early!
I am sooooo excited to know that I am not the only one with Christmas decoration still around. Most of mine is down with the exception of the mantle and the stacks of boxes that need to be put away. I love putting the stuff up, but taking it down is another story. If you get the chance stop by my blog and give me your opinion on paint color. Thanks.
I am floatin in your boat. Finishing mine tomorrow. Have fun with my sister this weekend. You girls be good. Do anything/everything I would do!!!!
I took mine down the day after Christmas! Ha-Ha! It was terrible! I just got so aggravated, because I hate that they are cluttering up my house.
Hmmm, I’ve never heard that Colorado thing. But I’ve also lived here my whole life and been to the stock show once when I was in Kindergarten. So it’s possible I’m 20+ years out of the loop.
If my house looked like your house does when decorated for Christmas I wouldn’t take it down either.
