Outfit of the Day 2.18.09

February 19, 2009 By Dusty Rogers 23 Comments

The only thing worse than taking pictures with a self-timer is asking G to take them for me. Cue the wine. I intended on cropping my glass out of the picture, and realized afterwards that unfortunately that wasn’t going to work. But then I thought–meh, what the hell? This picture’s still usable–and certainly more me!

Okay, back to business. This is what I wore to work yesterday:
Black dress pants–New York & Company
Grey silk blouse–Gap (clearance $12)
Ivory sweater–Old Navy (clearance $5)
Black belt–it’s old, so I can’t remember.
Stiletto boots–DSW

I liked the idea of pairing this feminine silk ruffled blouse with this grommeted leather belt and buckled boots. I thought it was an interesting mix of soft and hard.

These boots are so old, but I love them!

Seriously, come dress me! I mean that in the most un-creepy way, of course.

I LOVE this outfit, esp. that ruffled blouse and the wine accessory =)

Hello there, I adore your blog and I’ve been reading for some time now. What a lovely ensemble! Your hairstyle, by the way, is what I’ve been planning for spring time…it looks so good on you I’m tempted to do it sooner!

You look adorable. So how are you liking the bangs? I cut some last year but they bugged me so much. I grew them out as fast as I could. They always seem to look better on other people.

I think the wine glass is the perfect accessory! Love the whole ensemble. I’m going to try to spice up my Orchid colored Sweatshirt Sweater and 100 year old Levi’s I’m wearing with a wine glass and see if it does the trick! Simply Fabulous!

Thanks for the comments everyone! I know it’s not everyone’s style–and I never claimed to be a fashion diva–but I like it, and I like sharing with all of you!

@sara–it’s been about 2 weeks since I got my bangs and I’m not really loving them. I’m having such a hard time adjusting to them! But I’m not scheduled for another hair apt. for awhile, so maybe they’ll grow on me (pardon the pun :P) by then. We’ll see!

Love your outfits! You sooo have to go shopping with me. I am clueless when it comes to putting an outfit together and end up buying the same boring things. Thx for helping those of us that are fashion challenged and for being so inspring!!
