We’re back from vacation! We had a wonderful time in Florida, which I’ll post about soon–and I do have an Oscar Party post coming up–but first thing’s first. Even though we’re already into March, I just can’t say goodbye to February without doing my monthly All Things Loved post. Better late than never, right?
1. Pink frosted sugar cookies from Target. Those of you who know me know that I don’t have much of a sweet tooth. One year for my birthday my friend Beth asked me what I wanted for a cake and I answered, “Pinot noir.” But these pink sprinkle sugar cookies might have crossed me over to the sweet side! A couple weeks ago I stopped at Target on my way to work to buy snacks for some all-day meetings I had coming up, and these cookies made their way into my cart. Now I don’t know what it was, but later that day there was something about these pink sprinkle cookies that I couldn’t resist. Maybe I was PMSing? Maybe I do have a dormant sweet tooth? Or maybe it was just that they looked so damn cheerful in the midst of my bad day that I just wanted to bite into that cheer? Hard to say–but I had to have one. And it was unbelievable. Worth. Every. Single. Calorie. That afternoon when I brought the cookies to my meeting and my colleague noticed one was missing from the package, I unapologetically informed her, “I bought them that way.” And then had another.

2. The Quiznos Classic Italian sub. While waiting for our plane to board last week, I stopped at a little airport Quiznos for a bite to eat. With their limited menu my usual wasn’t an option, so I branched out and tried their Classic Italian sub. And can I just tell you? It was incredible! Quite possibly the best sub I’ve ever had. In fact–I couldn’t stop thinking about it during our vacation, dreaming of my next opportunity to sink my teeth into another one (which came the day we traveled home). Here she is–one of the highlights of my month–and no, that bite did not come from me (although I wish it had):

Want to know where I found this photo? In an article about the worst foods to eat in America–right between the Outback Steakhouse cheese fries and a Chipotle chicken burrito. And now I’m craving all three.
3. Since I clearly have no willpower when it comes to anything food, February was also the month I decided it was time to kick my cross-training up a notch. Which of course meant getting new shoes. I found these blue cross-trainers on clearance for $50 at Nike.com and I just love them!
4. Graham Webb’s Halo Illuminating Color Protection shampoo and conditioner. This stuff is amazing! We’re talking bolded text worthy. Oh yeah–it’s that good. I’ve been using Redken’s Color Extend shampoo and conditioner for years and have never had any complaints. But at my last hair appointment my stylist used Halo’s Color Protection Volumizing shampoo and conditioner–and WOW! In addition to getting the color protection benefits, my fine hair felt so much fuller and had much more texture. I never thought shampoo and conditioner alone could do so much! I was sold. Or rather, it was sold to me–along with two free travel-sized bottles of Halo’s Color Protection Smoothing shampoo and conditioner, which I tossed in my suitcase and brought with me on vacation. I wasn’t expecting much from the Smoothing shampoo and conditioner since my hair has always been pretty straight and smooth. But once again, I was blown away. My hair felt so smooth I couldn’t stop touching it! And hair static? Forget about it. I was so impressed with the results that when my friend (and fellow vacationer) Robyn mentioned the Florida weather was making her hair frizzy, I suggested she try it out. She did, she loved it, and now she’s a Halo convert too. It’s pricey, but without a doubt one of the best hair products I’ve ever used.

5. Vacation days. February was a rough month. I’m not gonna lie. Which is why I was more appreciative than ever to use some much needed vacation days and travel to sunny Florida with my husband and 2 other fabulous couples. We had such a great time–which I’ll post about soon–but for now let me just say thank you, thank you, thank you for vacation days in February!

There are no words to describe my love of Quizno’s. In fact, I was already craving some today and your post put me over the edge. I am so hitting up a Regular size Veggie on White, no olives, extra cheese in about a half hour.
Welcome Back! I don’t post often but I’m a faithful follower…and I missed your posts while you were away.
Love the new cross trainers. I’m in need of new shoes so I’m off to check nike.com
Those cookies are absolutely delish. They make mini versions at Target, too. I adore them. And I’m glad you’re back.
I love these posts and I almost did one on my blog but didn’t want to steal your thunder. Now I want Outback, Quiznos and Chipotle…great!

Welcome back! We must be long lost sisters as I too recently fell in love with the Quinos Classic Italian. And I agree, there is just somthing so good about those store bought sugar cookies with that frosting and those sprinkles.
You are so a girl after my own heart. Minus the running :giggle
I love those cookies — melt in your mouth! When I got my wisdom teeth out they were the only solid food I ate because of their meltability.
Quizno’s — worked there all through high school so it ranks with my first love and losing my virginity. Try the traditional if you like ranch! YUM.
Hair Product — you sold me at no static.
Welcome home D!
I WANT those hair products…like NOW.
I’ll let you know how it goes…
Quiznos!!! I hope you got your million sub giveaway coupon for a free sub!
I love those cookies too! I’m thankful that Target is a pain in the a** to get to where I live or I’d be eating them all the time
In college, my friends and I called those “better than sex cookies”. They’re awesome.
Those cookies alone were responsible for at least 10 of the 20 pounds I gained my freshmen year of college. Fortunately I broke the addiction and have burned off all 20 at this point (seven years later), but seeing that picture made my mouth water.
Those damn cookies are to blame for the extra 5 pounds that has recently taken up residence on my ass. Well…the Quiznos might have had something to do with it, too. And eating out every day on vacation. And drinking like a sailor with an unlimited supply of booze. Okay, okay, maybe it was a lot of things. Time to put those new cross-trainers to work!
@Kelli–go for it, girl! I don’t mind one bit. š
@Laurel–I’m happy to hear someone on this blog is still running, lol! I hope to be back on that treadmill in no time!
If you girls try those hair products I’d love to hear what you thought of them. Reply in this post or send me an email. I hope you like them as much as I do!
