Such great info! I am working on “letting go” of all the baby stuff which isn’t the easiest (undecided on a third kiddo).

What sizes did you sell? I’ll be looking at selling newborn on up to almost 2T. Did you advertise your gear separate from the garage sale on Craigslist? We have everything from the changing table to the high chair, swing, bassinet, etc. I’m not really sure how to price them. They are in great shape.

Such a tough decision, Ashley! We decided (after 4 1/2 years) to finally get rid of it all. If we do end up having a 2nd I know we can borrow, get hand-me-downs from friends, hit up Craigslist, all that. We just didn’t have the room to store it all anymore!

We sold newborn – 4T for clothes. We did advertise larger items (including baby gear) individually in Craigslist postings that were separate from the garage sale posting. We found that to be really helpful as some people were just searching for that item (vs a garage sale) and ended up showing up to shop our garage sale anyway. It worked really well. Good luck to you with yours!

My girls and I throw one every year where we have all the kids in the neighborhood bring their toys to sell and they all work it. At the end we all chose a charity to give it to. Last year they raised $1000! Who would have thought old toys would raise that much money 😉

Great tips, Dusty! We participated in our neighborhood yard sale a couple months ago, & sold only a couple of the newborn clothes I had put out. So disappointed! I ended up selling them through a friend, but I’ll make sure to incorporate some of your ideas next time!

So bummed to hear you didn’t sell more baby clothes, Carla. Hopefully these tips will help next time! Another thing I’ve heard people do is to sell bags (or “lots”) of kids’ clothes via Craigslist or eBay. Something to keep in mine!
