Easy Chalkboard Lettering Tutorial

August 21, 2014 By Dusty Rogers 8 Comments

Video tutorial by Dusty Rogers of All Things G&D on how to do chalkboard lettering that looks so good people will think it was your major in college. Includes free first day of school chalkboard sign lettering templates for preschool through high school! #BTS #chalkboardlettering #chalkboardtemplate #chalkboardsign #firstdayofschool #firstdayofschoolsign #firstdayofschoolchalkboardsign

On Monday I shared with you my easy DIY decorative chalkboards, and today I’m going to show you something equally simple – how to do chalkboard lettering that looks so good people will think it was your major in college.

You don’t need one single artistic bone in your body – just this simple trick! Watch and see:

These are the chalk markers I use (affiliate link): Bistro Chalk Markers

With this simple chalkboard lettering technique you can create anything. If you can print it, you can chalk it. Use it for signs, banners, posters, wall art – even chalkboard food labels!

And now for the your free chalkboard lettering stencils!  Use the printables below to recreate my “First Day of School” chalkboard signs.  The small sizes fit great on a 12×12″ chalkboard, and the larger sizes are for something a little bigger, like the 12×18″ chalkboard shown above.

These links will open a PDF document for you to print from your computer. These free printables are for personal use only. Please credit All Things G&D and link back to this post if you use them. Thank you!
