When Dyson first told me about their new cordless Dyson DC59 Motorhead vacuum, I have to admit – I assumed it was a glorified hand vac.
Yes, I’ve been living under a rock.

Dyson has been turning the world of handheld and cordless vacuums on its head with breakthrough technology since 2006, and the DC59 Motorhead is the latest star. It provides the power of a corded upright, with cord-free convenience – just think of how quickly you could clean without the hassle of a cord! I’ll confess – I haven’t vacuumed stairs since G and I moved in together. Not to set the women’s lib movement back or anything, but vacuuming stairs is a clunky, heavy, hassle with traditional vacuum cleaners and, frankly, the fact that he can bench press 300lbs makes the task significantly easier for him.
Our 4 year old did it yesterday.

I am a stay at home mommy to a very energetic almost 3yo, and a 1month old baby who sneezes at the slightest hint of dust. This will be perfect for getting into the nooks and crannies while baby wearing!
Great idea, Cristina! I should mention, the canister empties at the touch of a button, which is really convenient. Just hold it over the garbage, release, and it empties. Of course, I tend to shake it a bunch which does kick up dust, but if you just do the release and close it up you should be good!
One word…..Cheerios. If I step on one more Cheerio, I may lose it. This would make me life easier and save my sanity.
I’m with you, tdodd! We have a little Cheerio addict on our hands, too. She loves using the Dyson so maybe today I’ll have her start cleaning up her own Cheerio mess!

The Dyson would make my life so much easier, I could finally toss my Shark vacuum that is completely hopeless, I tied to bypass the Dyson and failed miserably, the Shark is horrible and just doesn’t pick anything up on my wood floors, plus it’s noisy as anything. I would love this…..I’d smash the Shark vacuum into little pieces and then vacuum it up with the Dyson

We just had to put our sweet doggie down and I realized for the first time, since having a baby, how much work it is to pick up after three meals a day! That little guy was great at cleaning the floors for me! Now, I could seriously use a Dyson to help pick up where he left off.
I have a “lightweight” vacuum that is quick to use and a heavier one that has real muscle… this Dyson would be my Goldilocks – light and easy while picking up all the crap on my floors from the baby and our 2 cats!

Oh this thing would make my life SO much easier! We have one of the original handheld Dyson vacs but the battery doesn’t stay charged for more than a minute.
I like that its balanced so I can clean anywhere with ease. The two year warranty eases my mind too.
I LOVE my large Dyson but I would love this even more! I love that it is quick to use with no cord and it would be amazing on stairs.
