Valentine’s Day Kid’s Craft: LOVE Canvas

January 31, 2015 By Dusty Rogers Leave a Comment

Looking for a great Valentine’s Day kid’s craft?  My newest favorite piece of art in our home is this “LOVE” canvas that Kate recently painted!

Let your kids get in on the love-fest this Valentine's Day with this easy Valentine's Day kid's craft from All Things G&D - the perfect activity for a boring winter afternoon!

When it’s the middle of winter and your five year old is feeling stir crazy, saying, “Should we get out the paints?” is sure to put a smile on his or her face! Kate usually paints on paper, but getting to paint this artwork on an actual canvas made this project feel extra special!

Kate (age 5) ready to get her painting on.

I resisted the urge to micromanage, and let her paint her canvas however she wanted.  As you can see, she took this Very Seriously:

…until the song “In Summer” from the Frozen movie came on our iTunes and she had to sing along!

Here’s a look at her finished piece! It looks so great on her art and photo gallery wall in her colorful playroom!
