You guys – I have a poncho problem.
The first issue being that ever since I received this cable knit poncho in my latest Stitch Fix I’ve been walking around saying, “Nacho poncho!”
Which then reminds me of a quote from the movie Saving Silverman that my sister Brittny and I have been giggling over and (probably mis-)quoting for the past decade where Jack Black and the other guy are eating a plate of nachos and Jack Black grabs one chip and half the plate of nachos sticks to it. He goes to shove the entire load into his mouth and the other guy is all, “Dude! What are you doing?” and Jack Black is all [shrug], “If you grab a nacho and all the others stick to it that’s just one nacho.”
My sister and I use that line any time we need to justify shoveling our faces with food.
(Which is a lot.)
(Which could actually make this poncho really come in handy. Hmmm…)
Okay, so here’s my second – and more pressing – poncho problem. I need to decide if I’m going to keep it!
I received this in my latest Stitch Fix fix and I have 3 days to decide if it’s a keeper…or if it needs to be somebody else’s poncho problem.
(Although it could be if I return it.)
(Or if you sign up for Stitch Fix.)
Okay, back to me. I’m realizing there are some plusses to owning a poncho. Such as…
It’s fun to twirl:
You can look like a cable-knit Bat Girl while you’re kicking acorns:
PLUS I had a big lunch and need to pee in the picture below and you can’t even tell:
So what are the cons (other than my “nacho poncho” situation)? Glad you asked. For starters, there are no arm holes. What do I do with my arms?! They just hang there. All…arm-y and stuff. Second, I live in Wisconsin – which is awesome, and clearly the reason cable-knit was created – but…we might also be the reason full length puffy parkas were created. I’m not sure I can fit my Bat Girl, nacho-eating, cable-knit cape into my full-length puffy parka once winter hits.
And the last thing? G insists if I keep the poncho I have to wear it with my Crocs. And socks.
So what’s a nacho-loving girl to do??
Here are some outfit details to buy you some time while you decide:
Okay, time’s up! What do you think? Should I keep the poncho (and torture G)? Or should I return it and let it be someone else’s poncho problem? Please vote in the comments below!
