Our girls weekend getaway was a hit! It was so much fun to finally meet my “online friends” in real life! It’s hard to believe we could cram so many laughs and so many memories into just one short weekend, but we did it! I got to meet my old Nestie friends halfofvamh, TheBryansWeBe, JennaRx (formerly 2005brideBU), jannypie, mandybeth01, alygator1, stephm0188, egrwifey, and a new friend Steph W. Oh yes! And how can I forget–a guest appearance was made by the lovely DawnMG as well!
The party started on Thursday night when Allison (halfofvamh) drove from the Twin Cities to Madison so we could fly out together. It was my first Nestie sleepover, which was so neat! The next morning we had to get up at 3am to start our day of traveling. We chose Ohio as our get together destination because of its central location. Once we arrived, we met Steph (stephm), Steph W, and Janny (jannypie), and the 5 of us excitedly waited for the rest of the girls’ flights to arrive! Janny made funny signs to welcome each of them. And in keeping with our lovely nicknames for each other, I couldn’t resist wearing this T-shirt (click to enlarge) when we greeted the girls at the airport.

Dawn (DawnMG) was unable to attend, so she shipped us a package to be opened once all the girls arrived on Friday. Our surprise package turned out to be Dawn’s face on a stick and a bottle of champagne–so sweet! And OMG, we loved our Dawn on a Stick, lol!

The next morning we had to get Dawn on a Stick ready to face the day. First makeup, then hair.

Pic 1: It’s a G&D sandwich! I jumped on Aly and then Em jumped on the both of us and started smacking my ass, lol! Pic 2: I was catching flack for my lack of accessorizing so I started wearing one of Allison’s necklaces (not to mention her shirt sleeves that she had cut off) and later raided all the girls’ bags for their necklaces. From no accessories to over-accessorizing in under 5 minutes!

Hope you like all the pictures–I know there’s a lot, but I had such a tough time narrowing it down from the 100s I have. We had such an incredible weekend–I just love these girls!!
