Greg and I are thrilled to announce that our daughter Kate has finally arrived! I will of course share all the details once we get settled in at home, so for now I'll just share that she is absolutely amazing and we already can't imagine our lives without her. We feel like the most blessed parents in the entire world!

Congratulations on the arrival of your sweet little Kate. I was certain that she'd be born on the 9th. Why? Well, because I was due with my third (surprise) baby on January 4, 2009, and for the first time in three happy, uneventful pregnancies, I watched my due date come and go. My Abigail Jane finally arrived on January 9th, 2009. On Saturday, as you were holding Kate for the first time, I was hosting a snowflake birthday party, watching Abby dig into her first cupcake, and filming her as she took her first tipsy steps across the living room floor. Just think, this time next year you'll be celebrating the same milestones with Kate. Soak up every moment -- it truly does fly by!
