@christyr–first of all, I love you for saying I always look so slim. Thank you! I wish I had some great diet secrets for you, but the truth is I eat A LOT. I’ve tried “dieting” in the past and I just can’t do it. I love food too much. I think what helps me in the food department is that I don’t have a sweet tooth, but I’m pretty sure I make up for that with salty food. Honestly, the only way for me to keep my figure (pre-pregnancy) is to work out. And I work my ass off–trust me. I’m not one of those girls who will tell you I eat whatever I want and barely exercise. Oh no. I work out like a mad woman so I can eat whatever I want. I run 20 miles/week, do strength training 2-3 times/week and do 30 mins on my elliptical anywhere from 2-4 times/week (depending on how much I ate that day). If I notice the number on the scale creeping up then I cut back on my salt intake, try to make better food choices, and up my workouts until things even out again. Sorry I don’t have better dieting advice for you, but good luck!
@christyr–Ooh, I lied! I just thought of a tip that’s come in handy for me. I notice if I drink a V8 (which I hate–I have to choke it down) after work I’m less likely to binge on everything and anything I can get my hands on once I get home from work. (And that’s usually my biggest big-eating time.) Hope that helps!
@Jenny–I definitely notice my baby bump getting bigger throughout the day. I feel like it’s the biggest in the evening, but that works for me clothes-wise b/c I’m home and in my sweats by then. I get so excited thinking, “I’m finally showing!” but then I wake up the next morning and my little bump is gone. =( I can’t wait until it’s here to stay!
