At risk of stating the obvious, I’ll just come right out and say it:
My hair is longer.
Oh yeah, and there may or may not be an extra 26 pounds that has taken up residence where my waistline used to be. So how I was able to wear this non-maternity shirt at 38 weeks pregnant?
Well that’s where the improvising comes in.
I could only get the first few buttons of this shirt buttoned, but luckily that’s all that shows. I kept the rest of the buttons unbuttoned to accommodate the baby bump, but you’d never know it because they’re hidden by the sweater. And last but not least, I layered a spaghetti strapped camisole top over the shirt–which also stays hidden underneath the sweater–to keep the unbuttoned part of the shirt in place and laying nice and flat:

This little camisole trick worked so well I may continue to use it for layering even when I’m not pregnant!

This is ingenious and I am definitely keeping it in mind for the future. A great way to keep loving some of the clothes you loved!
Cute outfit! I am pretty much in love with those boots – that whiskey color is great!
You are so sneaky! I would have never guess that shirt was “doctored”…lol
Very cool idea – I’ll have to remember that trick!
That is pure genius. Love it!
VERY clever! I may have to try this trick of yours!

That is such a great idea!!! Wish I would have come up with something like that during my pregnancy. Maybe next time
I would have never noticed the hair if you didn’t point it out
so.clever.
You are so clever! You just saved your readers loads on maternity clothes. Thanks for sharing your secret!
Such a sneaky but great tip. I will definitely be trying it out next week for work.
I love this idea! You were so good at stretching your normal wardrobe while pregnant! I love this outfit!
I have to agree with everyone else – this is PURE GENIUS!!! I would never in a million years thought of doing something like that at the end of my pregnancy…but I’ll definitely keep it in mind this time around!
And it works wonders because I remember being SO tired of my maternity clothes by 38 weeks last time…the BEST idea!
This is great! I’ll have to remember it when I’m in the same situation.
Very clever! Where’d you get the little white shirt over the ruffled button up one?
You are so adorable I can hardly stand it!! Cute outfit!
That is GENIUS.
Thanks everyone!
