Oreck VersaVac Giveaway

September 27, 2012 By Dusty Rogers 127 Comments

By now you may have heard that I’ll be appearing in a little thing I like to call a national television commercial for Oreck’s new VersaVac (woo!), but enough about me – let’s talk about this fantastic new product!

Storage is in short supply in our house, so it drives me crazier than replacement refs to store something that only serves one function (I’m looking at you, waffle iron).  Oreck must have heard my rants because they’ve created the new VersaVac – a vacuum cleaner and steam mop in one!

Oreck’s new multifunction, multi-surface VersaVac!

There are so many things G and I love about this multi-tasking powerhouse of a floor cleaner, but instead of typing it all out, for the first time ever on ATG&D, I’m going to tell you about it!

Presenting. . .the (very amateur!) home video I submitted to Oreck, which led to me being one of a handful of bloggers selected for a national VersaVac television commercial!

Get a behind-the-scenes look at my filming for the VersaVac commercial here!

I’ve been so excited to share the news of Oreck’s new VersaVac that I’ve been counting down the days until its release date – and now it’s here!  Want to get your floor-scrubbing hands on one for free?  Simply use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter this giveaway up to five times over the next week for your chance to win!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Disclosure: I received the VersaVac from Oreck to review at no cost to me. All opinions are my own.

I loveeeee the video- it’s great (coming from someone who has major anxiety about that type of thing!)
I can’t help but notice (and not meant to offend) a baby bump?! Is Kate getting another sibling?!

Loved your video! One thing that caught my attention in the video was when you said it sanitizes your floor with just water. I was wondering how is that possible?! Then I went to their website where I read “To sanitize hard floor surfaces, focus steam while mopping for at least 15 seconds” and my question was answered! I would love this! I’m a grad student living alone in a shoe-box sized apartment so storage is at a minimum and this would serve so many purposes! What a great product!

I love that it is for all floor types. While we have hardwood throughout most of our house, we do have a few rugs and carpet in 1 room, it is annoying to have both a vacuum and a steam cleaner.

**And you can make hash browns, cookies and brownies in a waffle maker…do a search on pinterest 😉

I discovered that it’d be PERFECT for our carpet/hardwood/tile filled apartment! It’s ideal for all & the fact that it is bag-less AND a steam mop just made me want to win even more!! Please, please, please pick me. I’ve actually been in need of a vacuum cleaner for awhile, but couldn’t find one that was versatile for all floor types. This. is. the. one! I can’t wait to try it. (Plus, I like the price if for some reason I don’t win.)

Thanks for the opportunity, G&D and Oreck!

Thank you for your feedback on our video and your thoughts on Oreck’s new VersaVac – it’s fun to hear!

@Anonymous: Nope, that’s not a baby bump, that’s an “I binge eat when I’m stressed/nervous/anxious” bump – all three of which I was when doing this video! Expect to see one in the commercial too. (Winning!) I’m going to go run 20 miles now, hahaha.

@Jenna: The extra long cord is great! That’s one of G’s favorite features!

@Jodie: Cookies and brownies from a waffle iron? See! THAT’S how faux baby bumps happen, hahaha! Thanks for the tip – I’ll have to check that out!

You and G should think about making a kid’s tv program, or making commercials for a living. My two year old stopped what he was doing and ran over to the computer as soon as you started speaking; he was mesmerized by you two and the steam-vac. Maybe I should buy him one for Christmas. So happy for you and the great things that have come your way because of your awesome blog.

I learned that they don’t recommend it for laminate floors but I’d be so tempted to test it out!! Love this idea, so much easier than pulling out the vacuum and the mop.

I love that it has a 30ft cord. I love that it would be so much easier than having to sweep, and mop, and vacuum- You can do it all with the one machine! Call me lazy, but I LOVE that!! Oh and I also love that it’s chemical free steaming- I like knowing that it’s just water to steam clean and not a bunch of chemicals.

Apparently I just really love the VersaVac.

Ok, I have to ask. How do you keep your kitchen counters completely free of both clutter and appliances?? I saw one lone coffee maker. Where do you keep your toaster, canisters of flour/sugar, fresh fruit, etc? I also have a terrible time keeping DH from piling receipts and random items all over the counters.
