Spring Is In the Air!

March 29, 2012 By Dusty Rogers 8 Comments

Spring has sprung, and with all the cute and colorful things catching my eye as I’m out and about, I couldn’t help but spruce up the house a bit!

This was my first time decorating for spring and I thought this “SPRING” stamped burlap and felt bunting ($7 from Target) was a perfect first purchase! Two pink laser cut felt placements ($2 from Target) over a strip of burlap made a great coordinating table runner, and I “shopped” the rest of my house for items to set on top–some were even borrowed from Kate!

Kate’s most beloved Bunny, that she used to carry around with her everywhere she went, is my most favorite touch of all:

Eggs borrowed from Kate’s Easter basket bring pops of fun color:

Placed over strands of raffia, the Easter eggs look like they’re snuggled into a nest!

For less than $10, I brought some pretty spring cheer into our house and kicked off a tradition I’m sure will continue for many years to come! How about you? Has spring fever hit your house yet?

Just wondering where you got the storage baskets under the console table? We happen to have the exact same console table and finding baskets that are tall enough like that has been hard for me so I’d love to know where to pick them up. Thanks!

@Anne Marie–The green ones are from Pier 1 and I think the pussy willow ones are from JoAnn Crafts.

@Anonymous–Those bins are from Target. I’m pretty sure they still have them!

@Chicago Mom–Great minds! That banner was too adorable to resist!

Where did you get your set of glass hurricanes? The setup is so cute. And it was very nice of Kate to add to the decor! :-)

I’ve had those glass hurricanes for years, and unfortunately I don’t remember where I got them. I think the big one may have come from Pottery Barn, but I’m not positive. Sorry I’m not more help, Sara!

I purchased the banner from Target, but it looks like a very easy DIY with felt and burlap.
