If you follow Kate’s monthly posts, you already know that she calls the alphabet her “ABCDs” (adding that extra letter in there). A newer bit of information I’ve yet to share is that in recent months she’s become obsessed with trucks. She loves them!
A few weeks ago, Kate was telling Grandma Pam all about the trucks she sees coming and going in our neighborhood. First she told her about the blue garbage trucks that empty the trash bins, then the mailman and his truck, and lastly, the “ABCD trucks.”
ABCD trucks?
Pam soon realized that Kate was describing the FedEx and UPS trucks–trucks with big bold alphabet letters across their sides. “ABCD trucks!” Of course!

I read about Kate loving cars and trucks – has she played with the wooden train sets yet? I bet she would love learning how to connect the wooden tracks together and all the fun train cars that connect with magnets. There’s something about the age of 2 that kids love connecting things with wheels! She’s a bright a fun gal!
Have I mentioned that already, Kadi? I forget! We haven’t introduced trains yet, but that’s such a great idea! I’m sure she would love them. We got her an activity table for her 2nd birthday that would also make a great train table. Thanks for the recommendation, Kadi!
