I can’t see polka dots without thinking of Kate.
They are so sweet, and fun, and cheerful.
Just like our girl.
One of my favorite Kate moments was when she was two-and-a-half and I bought her polka dot sheets for her “big girl” bed. She laid her cheek on her fresh set of sheets, stretched her arms across her mattress and said, “I love polka pots…they make me so happy.”
(She used to call them “polka pots.”)
(I wish she still did.)
When it came time to make this sweet girl a headboard, I knew it had to be a polka dot headboard. I wanted a bright white background with multi-colored “polka pots” (just like those sheets she first fell in love with) so I partnered up with OnlineFabricStore.net to find the perfect fabric and notions. Abbey from OnlineFabricStore was my dream girl who helped me find just the right one.
I think it’s safe to say she’s happy with it.
More on Kate’s polka dot headboard – including a DIY tutorial – coming soon!

So cute!! I love polka dots, too! I might have to do something like this for my baby girl once she’s in a bed.
I made a fabric polka dot wall for my daughter awhile ago with pink dots and a similar wall color

That turned out so cute, Katie! I had no idea you could iron fabric to the wall – what a fantastic tip!!
