We had the honor of hosting artist Janet Nelson in the central atrium of Galleria 214 on Friday night for the Cambridge Girls Night Out Chocolate Walk, and imagine my surprise when I discovered she had chosen to paint a picture of me in my boutique!!
She set up in a corner of our building that gave her a direct line of sight to me working behind the counter of Details Boutique, and to my surprise, that became her inspiration for her piece that evening!
Once I realized (after a colleague pointed it out to me) that this was maybe, possibly, I don’t know?…me?? I asked: “Oh my gosh, is that me? Is that my red top knot?”
To which Janet replied: “It’s iconic.”

Thank you so much, Janet, for this amazing piece of art, and for capturing me doing something I love so much in a place I love so dearly. I can hardly believe it. I am so grateful for, and astonished by, your talents.
